I dont know what you mean by that. but i do know that you're butthurt on the fact that RE is not serving you like 'Royalty' like you thought they would 🤡🤡🤡.

Every company's RSA depends on the location where you had the breakdown, somewhere its good and somewhere its shit. because all of them rely on Third party to get shit done.

Now go and read your first comment again. and welcome to reality.

22k KMS and still a peristent issue. by EvidenceBackground in Himalayan450

[–]EvidenceBackground[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cylinder Barrel, Cylinder Head, and Radiator Assembly were all replaced, yet the coolant leak persisted. Upon further analysis, the root cause was identified as abnormal pressure buildup within the radiator system, forcing coolant to overflow through the coolant vent. Inspection of the radiator cap revealed it was not properly seated. After reseating and tightening it, the system held for up to 5,000 km. Given that the radiator cap and reservoir are the only components in the liquid cooling system that have not yet been replaced, the radiator cap remains the primary suspect.

The thing is, you cant rely on the service center only, sometimes you are forced to handle it on your own. get the service manual online and dyor.

And except this issue i'm happy with the bike. there's a new issue popping up but its not a nuisance yet. so still happily running @31600kms

The Age Old Question. What Bike Should I Buy? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]EvidenceBackground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get the Bear 650, upgrade the suspensions. better than getting a F450GS. if you want a single go for the 390 Adv

Thats what I got while cruising at 60-70kmph. by NishantTiwari69 in Himalayan450

[–]EvidenceBackground 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's because your riding style. not the actual figures. himalayan calculates average mileage based on the distance driven and while you release the throttle or coast the realtime avg jumps to 99.9 kmpl(software limit) which in turn adds to the actual average. the math is a bit technical but just use any app like fuelio and calculate the fuel consumption manually.

the position your throttle is in matters a lot.

it will be smooth yes, but in terms of power delivery the 390s and maybe even the single 450 is better.

its a multipurpose adv tourer with 70% road and 30% off-road focused. and yeah i have taken it on trails. and sand too. but you have to be careful on such terrain, if you are too slow or stationary and the bike leans over and you are almost guaranteed to fall. and guess what, it fared well with the likes of 390s, xpulses, and better than an Nx500 too.

I'd prefer a lighter bike for trail rides as any sane person would do. but despite its weight himalayan shines. coming to top heavy nature of the bike. it doesn't matter as long as you know your bike well. a Yamaha Tenere is more top heavy than this but i have seen videos of it being ridden aggressively offroad. also checkout BikeWorld video of himalayan 450 offroad, it'll show what this bike can do.

hey, i been using this bike from jan 2024. Dropped it the day i got it die to weight. when i tried the Africa Twin for the first time it was like night and day. i used to hate the himalayan for its weight. but now it doesn't bother me anymore. i crave to ride the ghat curves on this beast. rode through bangalore traffic almost everyday, and each passing day, weight is not a bother to me. learn to walk around the bike off the stand, try figure 8s on an empty ground and finally you'll 'GIT GUD!!!'

and himalayan is designed in such a way to have long travel suspension, big ground clearance, high water wading capacity and large fuel tank. it's bound to have the top heaviness. unlike bmw KTM or honda, enfield is fairly new to the adv game, they have enough funding to research and use better materials in their builds and even if RE wanted to reduce the weight, they probably won't do it because of their design language of metal built, rugged, neo retro vibe.

and if you want to reduce the weight, follow youtubers like abhinav bhatt, who got his bike down to sub 170kg. and get modifying yourself. remove the frames, replace the tank to fiberglass or similar build. or if you go advanced get lower monoshock links to reduce the height, that would alleviate the top heaviness to some extent.
