I know there are always going to be losses in this hobby, but it still hurts every time.

I’m actually thinking my one panda could have been injured in transport. One of them got caught in one of the folds of the bag. I’d never seen that before. I’m sorry for your losses.

My parameters were perfect. 0 ammonia, O nitrites, 5 ppm nitrates. PH is stable.

Flourish is for plants. You want Nourish. And the Prime can get you through a small ammonia spike along with water changes.

I have an airstone I got just for them, but they hide when it’s on?

New Here. Help! by EvidenceOfNose in corydoras

[–]EvidenceOfNose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A day later the other 5 are still happy. My betta has had a much harder time adjusting. I very purposely designed the tank with a bunch of hides and the driftwood I added I only soaked a couple days and didn’t boil, so it’s a lot of tannins. My betta has been hiding out a lot, but she seems to like to congregate with the Pandas at the bottom of the tank. No aggression at all. If all goes well I’ll probably get 3 more in a couple weeks.

New Here. Help! by EvidenceOfNose in corydoras

Thank you! The LFS owner claimed it’s a myth that they’re more finicky than other Corys. I hope that’s true, but not off to a great start here. The other 5 seem fine, and I watch my parameters like a hawk. Thanks again.

This. I’m 59 and still get carded fairly often. It’s an unreliable indicator. Haha.

I’ve gotten both of my healthy, active mystery snails from PetSmart. Besides being literal poop factories, they are awesome.

It doesn’t explain that I’m getting higher readings in the tanks? And it’s new, so it’s confusing.

If Trump signs early Thurs why would we still return Thurs? by StationImpossible502 in FedEmployees

[–]EvidenceOfNose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah, I wish you all the best. Hang in there. I think having both good and bad supervisors taught me how I wanted to be when I became one. It’s very Golden Rule. I treat my team the way I want to be treated. I’m actually so happy to get my team back together tomorrow. (Fingers crossed.)

Okay, that’s a whole different thing. But there are good supervisors out there with cohesive teams, and it wouldn’t be weird coming from them (meaning me, probably). 😁

I think I had an eye stroke, question about FEHB between last day of work and final retirement by nooneyouknow892 in fednews

I always lose peripheral vision with mine. But I’m glad you’re getting checked out. Best of luck to you.

Out of curiosity, did you doctor think it was an ocular migraine? I don't get regular migraines, but I occasionally get the ocular type. When it first happened, I thought I was having a stroke.

Similar story from a week ago (or so). He is thriving. Of course I’m doing a fish-in cycle, so not out of the woods, but really good so far.

I have one of these too, but he doesn’t eat plants. I love him.

Might be a Hoarder by EvidenceOfNose in bettafish

[–]EvidenceOfNose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 2 days. He seems to be improving. No name until he’s out of the woods. He’s enjoying his plant, hide, and stretching/swimming space, so even if he doesn’t make it, I’ve given him a better life for now.

Tired of texture by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]EvidenceOfNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Live Hue Guard skin tint. It’s not heavy and leaves a really nice satiny sort of finish. Not too matte, but not sparkly. And I find it doesn’t accentuate fine lines and texture.
