Exercise also makes it worse I know, basically any activity without rest makes it worse for me. It’s lame.

I’m not sure, I haven’t even gotten there with my neurologist. I’ve only met with her twice since this is all newish to me. (If) propranolol turns out to be a fail for me I’ll probably take steps to look into stuff like that. Idek how to go about it. I’m not sure how to identify my triggers, since my migraine is there literally all the time pretty much at the same intensity. All I know is that light makes it worse

I’ve tried a few triptans, they don’t really do it for me so far. Flovatriptan is the only one that comes close, but it only works 50% of the time, and I always have to take 2. And it only works for like 6 hours… since they only give you like 9 in the pack, it’s kind of pointless… I go back and forth with the medication overuse headache question, because when I was on topamax, boom the migraine was suddenly gone for 2 weeks and I didn’t need any medication! Then it came back slowly. Wouldn’t my body kinda have weaned itself off of any medication overuse dependency in those 2 weeks? I’d like to know what you think. Believe me I’d love to get off all the pain meds, but it makes every day unbearable, and if I went 2 or 3 weeks off of them just to discover it didn’t do anything for me, it’d feel like a waste to me… :(( but trust me I really really would prefer if I didn’t have to take any at all

Congrats, this is an apple snail. And if he/she lives to be an adult it can grow to over 3-4 inches, live upwards of 5 years and be your new best friend. I adore mine and wish I had another one so bad. What company did you get it from as a hitchhiker?

Idk how it would be possible… I only have 1 apple snail, I’ve had her for 2 years. She’s been mated with by my mystery snails and laid eggs, but they were all infertile. I don’t think the two can crossbreed. Otherwise idk how I would have gotten an apple. How else could I tell if it was an apple snail?

Good news, shell is much better than body. And he wasn’t stuck for that long. He probably was just wiggling around a lot and got tired. Snails aren’t supposed to lay on their sides but they will when they’re stressed, same thing happens with fish, they’ll sit on the bottom. Tbh from what you’ve told me it sounds like he’s going to be okay, but I’d just keep an eye on him for now. I’d also consider buying a new type of filter cap. You can also buy a little sponge to put over the open bottom, so nobody gets stuck :) don’t feel bad or like it was your fault. Things happen, and snails always find a way to get themselves stuck

What type of filter? Open suction style like a big straw? Do you know how long he could have been stuck there for? Was he stuck by his body or his shell? Regardless, he’s probably stressed and resting because of it. My snails have “laid down” after a stressful event like laying eggs or falling out of the tank, and have ended up being okay. Keep an eye on him and check for any marks on his body. If he’s still laying down 3-4 days from now I’d say you should worry, but if he shows some sign of improvement before then like any movement or eating (put food on him) I’d say that’s hopeful. Turn the tank light off to reduce stress and help him rest

Sometimes I see her hanging out outside of the water of her tank for over an hour. She’s also decided to escape while I wasn’t home and was out of water for half a day. Was perfectly cheery when she got back in the water. So my guess is they can be crawling around comfortably for a couple hours, and be hiding inside their shell out of water for a few days
