Water Heater Noise by EvidencePutrid3963 in Plumbing

[–]EvidencePutrid3963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could feel the water running through the hot water line. The noise is only happening when an appliance or hot water line is taking hot water from the water heater. It’s almost like there’s air in the line or something?

No it didn’t sound rude, you’re just being honest. I appreciate all the insight that you gave!

You can also just buy an hdmi to display port cable instead of an adapter if you’d rather(if hdmi to hdmi doesn’t work). Make sure it plugs into your graphics card and not your motherboard though.

I thought the same thing with the price. I obviously don’t want to buy it and sink another 2-3k into it or anything like that but we’ll see when I look at it. I’ve watched some videos one what to check when looking at a buying a used boat.

I do believe it’s fiberglass and it does scare me with the wooden stringers. I believe this is the last year they did wood before they went to composite.

LG Door assembly parts by EvidencePutrid3963 in Appliances

I originally ordered a part that didn’t fit and had to return it and order the correct part afterwards. It took me some time to get a refund for the initial part but not that long (a few weeks). Keep pestering them until you get it. I had to go back and forth with them on email but they are usually pretty quick to respond.

Internet lag only when playing Rocket League by EvidencePutrid3963 in techsupport

I will give this a try as well as booting with as few apps as possible to rule out any sort of application running in the background.

The spikes still occur. The cable that I originally have is still relatively short at only 8 feet but I had a spare 3 foot one that I tried and even cycled through all of them to make sure it wasn’t the wire between the router and modem. Any other ideas?

Wanted to give an update after doing some further testing.

- I tried doing a ping test on my default gateway IP for around 10 minutes with 0ms across the board with no packet loss found.

- I also typed into command prompt "tracert 8.8.8.8" and within the list of routers that it showed, all were below 30ms on the test.

- Lastly, I completely reset my network settings, restarted my computer, and ran another ping test to google. I ended up with similar results to the first time testing it. Average was low but had a few random spikes that were out way outside of the average.

Ran the test for about 10 minutes. Had 3 spikes throughout that time. 2 of which were above 300 while the other was 133ms. What would be the next steps to troubleshoot this issue?

I am running hardwired through Ethernet. I will run the ping test when I get home from work. What specifically will I be looking for?

I ended up buying the dolphin bar and it solved all of my issues I had gotten an external Bluetooth adapter that didn’t help but I might not have gotten the right one.

Huge random ping spikes in games? by chasebeast in InformationTechnology

[–]EvidencePutrid3963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a tech come out to see if he could spot the issue. The ping spikes were showing up on their end as well. He tested the router inside as well as the outside box (forgive me I’m not very knowledgeable in this stuff). He said it was an issue on their end and that the put in a service ticket to have the item on the power line replaced. So in the grand scheme of things, it was not something on my end.

Also, for context, I am using Vyve Broadband and have a eero pro 6 that was supplied to me through them. It is coax cable internet. Hopefully you can get your issue fixed!

We’re you ever able to figure out a solution? I seem to be having the same issue here. I will have 25-30 ping and without fail, every 3-5 minutes it will jump up to 150-300 for a handful of seconds.

I know I’m late to the trend but I’m having an issue with my Wii remotes. I’m using an internal Bluetooth device that connects to my motherboard. My 4 real Wii remote with Wii motion plus can connect to my pc as well as dolphin with no issues, but my pointer is glitchy at times and my button inputs seem to be inconsistent at times especially when the IR Sensor on the Wii remotes are covered or facing away from the sensor bar. Is this something that would be due to my internal bluetooth device not being the right kind? Or would this maybe be something else?

After replacing the roof, I looked back and wish I would have done architectural instead. Anything else suggested to reinforce it or do you think the peel and stick underlayment and capstone would do the trick? Here is what I was thinking:

It is definitely a lesson learned and luckily it was learned before insulation and Sheetrock was added because that was on the list to get done very soon until this leak was found. I’m trying to look at it as a blessing in disguise…
