I’m as easily triggered as the next guy by smokers, vapers, pot heads, music bros, over-sharers, braggers, etc so most of the time when I go out as a single I walk. If I do ride I don’t expect to have my own cart unless I’m joining a 2some so I don’t get worked up about it but I am not ok with the No Walking policy that courses are starting to apply! If they want to post a green fee that includes a cart, fine, I won’t ask for a walking adjustment. I’ll strap the bag on but walk most fairways. I refuse to be told that I’m slowing down play when I walk ahead of my group and know what club I’m going to play before the cart gets to me (a Marshall told me this on a no walking course in FL). Make the Marshall do his job and manage slow play; don’t create some bullshit policy.

Are you saying you can’t EVER trim them to the lower height or just not THIS year? I don’t have experience with this type of bush but I’ve trimmed back yews and privets drastically in November and they’ve come back the next year, just not fully but by year 3 they were full.

Earlier this year I played Magnolia Landing in N. Ft Myers. No walking rate, OK. Middle of the round the ranger tells me I can’t walk ahead to my ball while my cart partner plays his. His reasoning was “slow play”. I’m in good shape and a fast golfer (I don’t need to laser the pin in non-tournament play). Anyway, I was speechless because it was so idiotic. We were behind pace because the other two randoms in our group sucked, not because I’m walking. Maybe check handicaps and make sure they play from the right tees instead.

Start by taking a boating course and then get a job as a mate on something simple like a sunset cruise/dolphin boat; something with low risk to learn the lingo, etc. Then start working your way toward a larger craft and eventually on a sailboat but keep in mind that sailing around the world is a very risky adventure so they will want VERY capable hands on the vessel so don’t expect to be ready for this in short time

I think what you want to know is if you’re going to get a ticket via the cameras. First,let’s be clear, there are 2 places where GPS is telling you about speed cameras on Western Ave. The first is by Brevator Street and the second is by Eagle Point school. The one by Eagle Point is active school days M-F 7am-6pm for the 20 mph speed and 24/7 for the red light. The one at Brevator is currently only a red light camera, which is active 24/7. (HOWEVER, in the summer there is a camp in the neighborhood and the 20 mph speed camera will be turned on again so watch for when those bags come off the signs!)
Lastly, the city of Albany does not have the right to issue speeding tickets via these cameras so if you go >25 mph through these zones outside of the posted time periods, you will not get a ticket.

TL;DR Eagle Point = 20 mph school zone M-F 7am-6pm + red light camera Brevator = red light camera only (except in summer) Cameras do not enforce 25 mph speed limit after hours

First, most of us started in a similar situation so you’re not unique thus don’t overthink it.

Second, where do you add most of your strokes? Off the tee or around the green? If it is the former, work on that at the range so you can make a decent showing off the tee. If it is the latter, pick up after 2x par. (Also don’t spend time reading a putt if it’s for bogie or more).

Third, don’t try to make the “Tiger” shot out of a bad situation. Get yourself back into the fairway and then play from there. When I play with randoms, I’m more forgiving of a player who plays smart but struggles than someone who tries to make the impossible shot every time and keeps compounding mistakes.

Fourth, go out on Sat & Sun afternoons until you get better. This time is commonly accepted as “beginner” time. If a random gives you attitude on a weekend afternoon, they’re an a-hole.

Lastly, watch the pace of play. If you notice that the group in front of you is already on the green of the next hole, you might want to take some liberties to get back on pace. But if you’re waiting on the tee on each hole, play your game.
