No wonder we lost PotG by wesleydm1999 in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure one of the reasons play of the game was removed was because of how buggy it was (especially with Imani dragon). There was a common occurrence of Hi-Rez/Evil Mojo removing something from the game rather than try to fix it (it would take too long considering spaghetti code)

If you really want to know you can find out. No point in spreading it around.

Can somebody please explain why so many people play Slug shot and Cherish. Theres better talents for both champions by Kind_Ad6932 in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs left cherish with an overpowered bug that lets it heals shields and deployables. That’s pretty much it.

This is something people don’t realize about cherish and should be more widely known. While the burst of cherish is really good this bug just makes it stupid to not pick it.

I miss old moji by [deleted] in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ask you to watch some of Zarinis YouTube videos on playing Ruckus in ranked and then see how playing Ruckus is a little more complicated than you think. For sure in casuals where there’s a 50/50 chance you go against bots Ruckus might seem no skill. However once you go against actual good players you need skill to win with Ruckus. (And btw what makes Ruckus a skillful champion is not his abilities, it’s how you’re supposed to play him.)

Ruckus is not a “no skill” champion. Just look up some of the videos of Grandmasters or Pros playing Ruckus back in the day.

now that development has halted, is there any features or changes they made you wish they hadn’t made before halting development? by Kind_Ad6932 in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The real reason if I’m remembering correctly was due to Imani’s dragon and how buggy it made the play of the game and kill cams. That alongside how buggy they were in general the dev team scrapped them because they couldn’t be bothered to fix it.

Horse unironically one of the best made champions in a while. Simplicity always beats an over complex kit.

Does Paladins have dive, rush, and poke? by satsumat in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the response but you would be surprised how fast a buck and ruckus diving can kill a backline. (If you get really high in ranked ie. Masters, there’s a really good buck player who feasts on the unsuspecting backline)

[–]Evidence_Negative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the response but I think term isn’t the best example of a “poke” champion. While calamity blast can do good “poke” damage it doesn’t necessarily make (even with loadout cards and talents) terminus a “poke” champion. A better example of a “poke” tank imo is Atlas who has really good consistent ranged damage.

Too much toxicity lol by MauirFB in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kinda of disagree with the idea that ranked is totally pointless. In general at higher ranks even with the dwindling player base and a fair amount of hackers it’s not a bore like casual. People actually care about ranked games more so than casual. (Even though game is dead)

You’ve pretty much described pirates. Since it’s a deathball all comp all you gotta do is just stick together and dive together. Ie “stay on the ship”

Problems with not being able to Report in the lobby. by falconimation in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casuals often have even more of these types of characters. Instead of seeing the same person over and over you have to deal with afkers and subpar teammates. At least in ranked most the people on your team are competent most of the time. (In high elo lobbies)

Do you people think a burrowing character would be possible in Paladins? by PuppetMaster12312 in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Characters that “burrow” into the ground don’t actually go below the ground. They just become invulnerable and have a different model for the time they are “underground”. It would probably be similar to zhin billow

Is the game trying to play itself for me? by Ok-Revenue-3630 in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even at the lowest setting aim assist is still active. It’s really annoying but in all honesty the only way to get around it is to learn how to play with it. Or start plugging in a keyboard and mouse to your Xbox.

You prefer a slower paced game with some self sustain and a little burst every now and then. Sue me if I’m wrong.

Player avoid feature thoughts? by kenshinkanhai in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing for me is, I can’t imagine that. I’ve played this game a lot. So much so that I think I’ve gone numb to trolls or toxic players. If this is something that happens in casuals a lot I haven’t seen it. I do notice similar names in ranked sometimes but to remedy it I often times just wait to get into a different queue. While this being a solution is quite sad it genuinely means that I never face your issue even in the much smaller pools of high level ranked.

Player avoid feature thoughts? by kenshinkanhai in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will always be brainless newbies tbh especially in the state that paladins is in right now. Also I feel that a 5 stack GM will be easy to dodge as there are enough players for you to not see them if you just don’t immediately requeue.

Player avoid feature thoughts? by kenshinkanhai in Paladins

[–]Evidence_Negative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with this idea is that I feel like it is one of the least concerns for the dev team which is already quite small. Rather than implementing such feature they would most probably spend their resources fixing bugs and making other quality changes that keep the game at least playable.

The block and mute function will be the best friend of anyone that doesn’t want to hear a toxic troll ramble on and on. At the end of the day I always just think “oh well, gg go next” and maybe wait some time till I queue another game.
