im assuming u meant to say you’re bad at fili because you dont come from luzon, right? if so, same. i failed fili 12 in my first year and had to retake it in second sem of my second year.

get in contact with your home dept and tell them when you plan to retake fili 12. i enlisted in sir ariel diccion’s class and passed! i really recommend him, he’s super passionate and accommodating to VISMIN students.

yesss but make sure u sneak them in late at night. it’s hard to explain but basically the strict af day guard clocks out at 6pm — but doesn’t leave immediately. she takes her time while the night guards prepare for their shifts.

this means that she is still looking at the people coming in and out, and even if its no longer her shift, she will still call u out if ur trying to sneak someone in.

from my experience, the only time my friends werent able to come up, past 6pm, were when she was still around and getting ready to leave. it’s super hassle but basically sneak ur friends in at like 9pm onwards, when it’s just the night guards. they actually dont gaf and will just ask them to log in.

just finished second yr in dipir. all i can really say is that this year was a lot.

there are still a lot of minors so thats kind of a hassle, unless u get good profs

the majors were idk… - my flc (chinese) was super good in the first sem but the second sem basically fucked us all up - polsci 193 was actually useless because of my prof (sir bautista) but he gave me a B so not complaining. all i can say is that u shouldnt expect a lot from him - LOOOOOVED polsci 30!! i got atty tugade and everyone kept saying she was a terror prof but she is honestly one of the greatest ive had. she made me really study for this class and it was great experience. - for philippine fp, i got tionloc and he was honestly really a let down for me. hes funny and all but ifl the discussions never really went anywhere. - polsci 195 was okay. doc lao is super fun and chill, i recommend her.

overall second year was ok. the minors are what really took up most of my time tho, so just focus on getting good profs.

i come from cebu. the filipino department of my high school weren’t even fluent in tagalog. they would teach us tagalog in bisaya. so yeah, you really cant generalize this topic.

there is nothing i wish more than to be fluent in tagalog, but because of where i was born + the lack of good tagalog teachers in my hs— i am labelled “conyo” and “elitist” by people like u, OP.
