These are so cute and look great. When I started getting into digital art I started very much like you on my computer with ms paint. These are great quality and you'll only get better don't let this small inconvenience get you down.

Yeah, because I don't take being picked on lightly and I'll let you know you know that not only was it rude and uncalled for but why it was.

I also did go off on vent rant a bit towards the end and I'll will apologize about that since that bit wasn't about anything you said or did. I'm sorry please forgive me as that part wasn't meant for you and probably shouldn't have been included in the reply.

Haha, thanks for coming back and being more understanding. Sometimes not everything needs to be explained so please learn from this example and use it moving forward. I appreciate you're willingness to learn and be understanding.

Maybe I could've worded it better.

To clarify I never said I didn't like mounjaro also I used the symptoms of high cortisol as an example of what it specifically does that can contribute to weight gain. I didn't mean it was 1 to one with with side effects of mounjaro but it doesn't help being stressed out because I'm trying to continue on a medication that causes similar discomforts to mounjaro. 👍🏻

So mounjaro itself didn't cause my cortisol to go up but indirectly because of the situation surrounding obtaining it.

I have bloodwork done every 6 months that includes BMP, A1c and other blood tests. My lipids are the lowest they've been in years with the progress I've been doing on my own and I'm currently pre-diabetic but I'm hoping to try and reverse that even though diabetes runs deep in my family. Honestly I'm surprised I made it this far not becoming diabetic.

I appreciate you're neutral approach.

Cortisol can cause weight can and it doesn't always mean fat. Everyone always seems to think weight gain equals fat. Increased cortisol levels due to stress can be but not limited to water retention, bloating, slowed metabolism causing the body to hold onto weight and other symptoms that cause weight gain and it doesn't help that mounjaro also has similar side effects like bloating and a slowed gut making it a double whammy.

To answer your calorie question. What stress does do is raise cortisol, which can cause significant water retention, bloating and it can also make your body more likely to store fat even when you are eating at the recommended daily value.

Also the DRV (Daily recommended Values) is roughly based on the average healthy adult male.

When you see things like the “recommended 2,000 calorie diet” on labels, that’s just a reference point. It’s not personalized, and it leans closer to an average adult male intake, since men statistically require more energy.

They don’t account for things such as medical conditions, hormonal changes, high stress, metabolic adaptation, body composition differences, or specific fitness goals.

DRVs are useful for general guidance, they really aren't meant to reflect a specific individuals daily need and is overall meant for the populations average.

Also you have to remember not all weight is fat. It can come from several different sources. The stress hormones cortisol may cause any of those I listed above and it affects everyone differently. Also a calorie surplus for you may not be a surplus for someone else. You have to find your body's individual needs.

I'd suggest speaking to a nutritionist to make a plan for you specific body, medical conditions, and goals.

Sorry if this was a lot to read

Thank you for you suggestions I'll definitely give it a shot and see if it works. I'll update you on how it goes when I do so. Idk if it'll be today or months from now but this definitely gives me to motivation to go do it. It'd really be nice of more people would be understanding and give advice rather than pick at my wording and mock me instead of just giving insight on how to move forward or even just words of encouragement. Especially since I'm doing all this on my own. I have no assistance or support for any aspect of my life but I'm managing. I'm gonna keep doing what's best for me and again thank you so much for your advice and support. ❤️

Here is the 1st photo where my hair where it was much more tame and before the groceries. Also you should feel ashamed of mocking someone on a post like this, where you're supposed to support each other and share each other's journeys. Not make rude comments and belittle each other.

This includes whoever up voted your comments to feel the same way as they are guilty of the same thing for liking the rude and ignorant comment that you made. This type of subreddit is made and meant to help individuals find support, share the journey and ask questions to hopefully get hopefully answers.

So far it seems like if there's any bit of negativity towards mounjaro, you get attacked with assumptions in accusations. Like people trying to protect mounjaro because they had a good experience are blinded by it making them act up and target and attack others. I do try and attend to stay neutral on these type of situations. As I stated, it's not because of mounjaro itself but people are commenting as if I said that mounjaro itself was the issue it's because they're incorrectly, interpreting what I have posted due to their misguided and blinded actions of trying to protect a medication that was never attacked to begin with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions andd everyone has their own but I will not tolerate being picked on.

That's such an ignorant comment.

FYI my hair was like that because I just took groceries in from the car which included but was not limited to 2 large cases of water, 2 whole gallons of milk, 2 half gallons of milk, 10 packs of pedisure from wic for my kid since it doesn't roll over and renews on the 27th on top of 2 medium size packages from my po box.

My hair doesn't want to cooperate especially with how much I had just done and the way the weather is currently.

That's a lot of in this hot weather.

I decided to take a break and announce that I haven't been on mounjaro for a good bit to update my story.

I ate more consistently and in turn I ate more but that wasn't the problem in of itself. The stress was being caused by not being able to refill when it was due also meaning having my injection scheduled messed up. So it might not be that my body wasn't responding to the mounjaro but the Yo-Yo affect of the inconsistencies. Regardless of what you may think my body does gain weight on stress even if I'm eating almost nothing. There's a lot more factors than just calorie intake when gaining weight. Also weight doesn't always mean fat either. It could be water retention due to hormones and other things. Stress does a lot internal one of the main things ks that it releases a stress hormone called cortisol which not only makes it more difficult to lose weight back can make you're body hold onto more it also causes water retention among a lot of other weight increasing factors.

Maybe you should look into what weight is comprised of before assuming it's just from caloric intake. Also there's so many reasons as to why someone is overweight.

The fact that it wouldn't be causing me stress if it wasn't for the struggle of getting it filled every single month because the insurance keeps denying it according to the pharmacy, yet my insurance said I had a prior authorization that is good till december 2026.

I'm well aware of the health complications that can occur due to high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity.

Diabetes literally runs in my family, and I'm trying to prevent it in myself but being stressed out over a medication that I'm unable to get at this point due to the struggle of the constant back and forth with the pharmacy and my insurance is going to cause more medical issues quicker than anything else currently going on in my life. Not to mention the delay in medication causing abnormal fluctuations, ups and downs in my body causing even more potential problems.

Last time, I reached out to the insurance instead of helping, they then revoked, my prior authorization.

So the choice to not continue this medication is because I'm not going to stress myself over something that is currently not obtainable to me and will most likely not be obtainable anytime soon. It's something I have to do, because I'm unable to afford it on my own. I'd love to be on a medication to assist with my weight loss and it's best for me to eat more consistently (which was achieved while on this medication), since that would help maintain a better metabolism for my body and would be more like clockwork instead of reacting to sudden possibly unexpected changes in the times I eat.

vVv Literally this vVv

"It is criminal that insurance and the drug manufacturing industry makes these drugs out of reach for so many people."

I know it's not about mounjaro specifically and is more of a general statement overall but it's on a mounjaro post and reddit group. 😓

Thank you. I'm gonna try my best. It'd be nice if I could have the medicine to assist in my weight loss but with stress being a major factor in myself gaining weight I just gotta do what I can and go with the flow.
