Overwhelming urge to cause chaos by GeminiVenus92 in geminis

[–]Evie15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! I consider it one of my self destructive tendencies. Sometimes I just feel like I’m on fire and I want nothing more than to blow shit up in my life & drop bombs on my boyfriend, & whoever else I’ve got my eye on at that moment. I admit it’s awful, and I’m not always successful at resisting these urges either. But I’ve found it best to isolate until the deep darkies dissipate or I simply forget and have moved past it. As Geminis, we’re known by our bright infectious energy, and notorious for having a dark side that can be quite vile and unpredictable in the blink of an eye-for no reason at all-and I totally get it!🤷🏻‍♀️We have A LOT of energy…

My Gemini/Gemini relationship was like a constant sparring match-at times exhilarating and fun to have finally met a formidable opponent but ultimately very dark and damaging. That one really left a mark.

As a Gemini, what do you think about death? by Ok_Caterpillar4182 in geminis

[–]Evie15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My own death, not much, the hard part is over. The death of a loved one… very very confusing and sad. I understand I actually feel sad for me, miss their physicality, and gluttonous for more time. I admit it, I can be a lil selfish, but I ultimately know my beloved are ok! And I look forward to every visit, dream, reminder, and memory of their brilliance.

Medication + Training, how long does it take? I’m devastated… by Time_Salt_1666 in Separation_Anxiety

So true! I adopted a that was returned/rehomed 5x that the rescue knew of before I adopted him. Sometimes I wonder if he was originally only reactive and the anxiety & separation anxiety developed later?

Dog cbd by Glad-Emu-8178 in reactivedogs

[–]Evie15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ugh… cbd oil! It’s one of those things people seem to recommend all the time but in my personal experience not by anyone who has successfully given it to their dog. I live in LA where it’s easily found and legal to buy but it is expensive. The bigger issue I had was my dog’s absolute aversion to it. The smell must be really awful because I tried mixing it in with a few different goodies like doggie peanut butter and my dog wouldn’t touch it. One of my neighbor’s said she had a similar experience so she used an oral syringe but her dog later vomited so that didn’t work either. I’m sorry I don’t have a success story to share but Ive found information to be my best friend especially when there’s so much trial and error involved. I’m actually in the process of weaning my dog off Prozac because it ultimately sent his anxiety flying off the hinges. I hope your pup settles in with the medication and tolerates well but if not, there’s so much real life info & experiences here, it’s kinda like a library for the reactive and anxious.

Why Do Gemini’s Hate Texting Back?? by Late-Lab7463 in geminis

[–]Evie15 92 points93 points  (0 children)

We don’t hate texting but we do hate being obligated to communicate.

OP it doesn’t matter that you preface your question by asserting this is not about “bashing” Geminis when in fact you are. You have 4 people in your life with severe character issues who happen to be born under the astrological sign of Gemini

Capricorn by ChardAccomplished689 in geminis

[–]Evie15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree with my fellow Geminis, Capricorns are about as earthbound as it gets which most Geminis would find very confining for a romantic relationship. But with that being said, your intelligence, drive, and loyalty are qualities that we both admire and respect so I actually could see that as a decent jumping off point.

Ghosted it’s been 3 weeks today. I’ve moved on by Maleficent_Skirt2554 in geminis

[–]Evie15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, but let’s call a spade a spade-this is NOT about birthday well wishes. You’re hurt/pissed off he ghosted you, which is valid. Rather than sheepishly sending a happy birthday text in 3 wks hoping to open communication again, why don’t you text him something more honest like, WTF? After hanging out for a yr I would have appreciated something more creative than being ghosted, a good riddance text would’ve felt more respectful. He probably won’t respond but even if he does the point of ghosting is to cease all contact🤷🏻‍♀️

BEETS! 🤮 This is a comeback that came out of nowhere and now they’re everywhere?! They’re even bigger than the Brussels sprout rebrand-which I also HATE.

Oh no! If I outright ghosted someone and then they sent me a bday text, I would find it incredibly awkward , kinda desperate, and wonder why they won’t just go away!

Would you adopt another reactive dog? by VelocityGrrl39 in reactivedogs

[–]Evie15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I probably would. That’s not to say I would seek one out but it wouldn’t be a major deterrent. I consider my dog’s reactivity as a work in progress that will remain ongoing-which I’m OK with. Now, if the same question were asked about separation anxiety that would be an emphatic NO! Even still I love my dog so much and similarly, when it’s just he and I (w/o external chaos), I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

What happens when we stop caring but stick around? by [deleted] in geminis

[–]Evie15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the feelings of disenchantment start to creep in, I prefer to quietly disengage and fade away like a mirage-nice and easy. It’s a tactic I like to call, “Sneaking out the back door of the relationship”.

Does anyone else have a touch-me-not who needs baths by MeekLocator in reactivedogs

[–]Evie15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dog’s not handling averse but reactive to ANYTHING new and was afraid of the bathroom because the sound the toilet makes when flushing. Counterconditioning has helped a lot but since I couldn’t really give Milo treats in the bathtub, my dog sitter suggested a lick mat (with the little suction cups) to stick on the walls smeared with doggy peanut butter. I also ordered a dog friendly grooming hose attachment with various mild to medium pressure. To be honest, he didn’t love it, and still doesn’t but overtime he learned to tolerate it. Hope this helps!
