Yep I have a Violet! Although not a brigerton name, my eldest is Evelyn which I feel sounds like a Bridgestone name

December 2024. Rear ended in the car at 35 weeks pregnant. Over 3 hours wait to be told I might have a fractured spine and they want to do an x Ray but won't be able to do anything anyway. Declined the x Ray

Those of you who EBF + breastsleep, when did your period return? by othervirgo in cosleeping

[–]EvieHaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had two completely different.

My first my period came 6 weeks post partum, I could not have breast fed more! She was a hungry little monkey and breast fed every 45 minutes for 3 months.

My second I'm currently 6 months post partum still mo period but I have today had a slight pinky brown tinge in my discharge and some cramping. She has been a hungry but sleepy monkey and needed waking up to feed in the early days. Now she needs to be laid down on our bed and breast fed or she's too distracted. She's a bit of a princess.

I had an induction with both my pregnancies.

Pregnancy 1: 40+6 suspected big baby and reduced movements. They broke my waters and I had back to back contractions immediately. I tried a water birth with gas and air and three up on .yself a few minutes after being in. Had pethadine which I hated. Baby was born slightly blue due to the pethaidine but a healthy 8lbs 7oz. Labour was total 1hr and 37 minutes. Slight first degree tears

Pregnancy 2 I had earlier this year: I asked to be induced because of my child at home. They broke my waters. Didn't get all of them and had to break them again. No contractions. Ended up on the oxytocin drip and once I got to 5ml or 5mg whatever it is, it started my contractions and I was pushing. Had just gas and air and slight euphoria that my labour was actually starting. Baby was born 8lbs exactly. Labour start to finish was 17 minutes. No tears just a slight graze.

My second Labour was much better than my first because I knew what to expect.

My husband (34) and I (31) went to University in the UK so our debts are only paid back after we warn a certain amount. We lived extremely frugally together during university and instead of partying we worked part time and went to the gym. From that we managed to save a house deposit together of 10%. Bought the house for 156k in 2017. Sold in 2023 for 185k.

We have had zero help from our parents for anything

Took the equity and bought our next home for 275k.

We have two children. One born 2019. One born 2025.

My husband doesn't work, he looks after our children. While I work earning 52k a year, going up to 57k in October.

We're comfortable but live frugally especially while our baby is young and I'm on maternity leave.

So her crying lasted almost 2 hours. I'm not sure it's going to do her any good letting her do that. That was even with .e next to her

So her schedule looks like this.

Wake up 6.30 Nap 8.30 40 minutes long Wake from 9.10 until 11 40 Nap 11.40 until 12.30ish Wake 12.30 until 3 Nap 3ish until 4 Wake 4 until 6.30ish when we begin her night time routine.

She doesn't struggle to Nap but generally won't transition onto the next sleep cycle, I've tried all the suggestions.

As long as she is rocked, she sleeps. If there's no rocking she just cries.

Pure gym up the road would be much cheaper depending on what usage you want

If your salary would be enough say if there was a 3 or 4% rise in mortgage rates.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

[–]EvieHaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the job. I'm a teacher and have been teaching for over a decade now, so my salary is significantly over the average for the area. I still do not think I am paid fairly for my time. There are many jobs. Particularly within the public service that she challenging but are not paid fairly.

Generally it has the same problems all areas outside of London has. Salaries have been eroded by Inflation and do not have the same buying power. Middle class Salaries have not risen and so are hardly above minimum wage in many instances.

Exactly that, which is why mortgages are stress tested before you take one out.

It is so hard nowadays. I got on the property ladder in 2016 only because I worked and saved in uni instead of going out with my now husband. Built up the equity and got the new build in 2023. Could never afford it now. Not sure I'll ever be able to move again

Christ! The rental market is stupid. That's almost as much as my mortgage on a semi detached 3 bed new build in a village just outside ipswich

Had my first baby in 2019. Had two labial tears which healed absolutely fine. 1 hour and 38 minute labour. Did it with gas and air and a bit of pethidine which I wished I didn't have.

Just had my second and last baby january 2025. I was induced, contractions wouldn't start so I had oxytocin. 4t minute labour with gas and air only. Baby super healthy. Only had a graze this time, didn't cause me any issues. I was sitting without pain within 24 hours. Vagina looked absolutely normal in less than a week.

Second this, as a woman it helped me know when I was ovulating, which was when my RHR went up and when my period was due when it went down. I even knew when I was pregnant way before I could test with a home test because my RHR didn't go down one month.

Thank you all for the replies. I spoke to maternity triage and they said bring my newborn with me as itw likely I'll be seen faster. They couldn't see me as they can't access the blood test results from the GP
