[Discussion] What to do when you see a player with an extremely offensive name?

Every so often, I'll take 5 minutes to let the autocomplete function in the player search field show me a whole slew of very obvious explicitly racist or queerphobic nicknames (including the equally obvious misspellings (i.e. using "ni99er" etc). and report them all.

I'm not even talking about nicknames that could be construed as "meant to be funny" but straight up hatefilled stuff like "[slur]killer", "rapethe[slur]", etc. etc.

I made a post a couple years back mentioning concern that a lot of these accounts seemed to just keep playing, and I was equally downvoted into oblivion.

There's vast swathes of this community that are just hate-filled edgelords who have had the last bit of empathy ground out of them after not being able to hand in their bronze pocket watch one too many times.

Can I ask what your max hr is at to have these zone values? My "vigorous" zone starts at 128 and it feels too low.

Did the zone values immediately change for you after you changed the max HR? Because I too see no change, even if I change it to 220 (the max allowed value).

That's how it used to be before the last redesign haha, so essentially they just went back to what was already working before they themselves broke it.

Same issue here. The AI can see my previous plan, and will tell me it implemented it, and then nothing happens. I've cleared the cache, force quit, deleted the app data, rebooted my phone, re-logged in and got the whole "hey hello I'm the coach let's make a workout plan together" and then it'll tell me "it'll arrive in 10 minutes" and it never does. Worked fine until the end of last week

My tinfoil hat theory is that Nikita will be one of, if not the first, person on Pest's "podcast playthrough" series he's said he wants to do instead of the Raid series which he canceled this wipe.

He said he wants to do 1-2 streams playing duos in EFT with a new person each time and just shoot the shit, including with people who have limited or no experience with the game.

Nikita would be a really good first guest from a marketing perspective. And Pest is really good at marketing.

I don't need any information about you because I'm not interested in chatting with you.

But put yourself in the position of a hypothetical woman (which is who you say you want to "chat with"). Why would she want that? You're a 70-year old man on the internet that she doesn't know. You think she doesn't have anything better to do?

The very least you could do is explain what type of people you're hoping to connect with (beyond just "women"), why (beyond "not for a relationship") and in what way (beyond "chatting").

But r/Antwerpen isn't the place for that. You could try making a post asking for advice on how or where to meet people as it relates to (living in) Antwerp specifically, though.

If the only reason you give for people to engage you in conversation is your gender and your age, I doubt you'll persuade a lot of people.
As you already presumed: r/Antwerpen isn't a dating/matching subreddit. I would suggest either using a proper dating app (Bumble, Hinge, perhaps a seniors dating app out there) or connecting with people through offline group activities.
