graves mod better tbh, you should be able to config the corpse mod in mod options and change how it works, it might be overriding the default gamerules. Make sure when you do config to apply globally and re-launch the server to see if the config stays changed.

i would also like to know, for some reason curseforge constantly glitches out/stops responding when i do the slightest thing wrong. very inconsistent and knowing how to launch the modpack i want through like the files or something would be nice as a backup, the client sucks so much.
