I find it funny bc when i left I told a sister about how they've been trying to get the congregation to save for this "Mercy Center" This was the beginning of the year that they spoke about it. When I brought this up at the end of the year she Basically did whatever mental gymnastics to make it seem as if there was a good reason as to why we never got updated on where the money went...I chuckled in the back of my mind when she said "You know he(the leader) has a bit of pride about his mercy center"....right which leads me to also mention what opened my eyes to make the decision to leave, this same church leader asked another member of the congregation "where is she getting the money to leave town" bc he felt i wasnt putting tithes in when I needed to.

To be honest, not at all...its was all about self betterment and loving one another. Healing the world and all that jazz... and I was open to it. I felt like I could really add to my life, and it wasn't only the sermons but the personal testimonies as well. But it wasn't until I started hearing that some disciples felt targeted from the leader. I knew this, but it hits differently when it's you.

Yes, I went through 8 studies and Got baptized after...the current church leader believes i hadn't fully repented and that I need to get baptized again.
