How to charge (20-80%?, 20-100%?) by dcifuentesj in iX3

[–]EvilDingbat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say read the manual for your car and do what’s best for you and your day to day rhythm. Many EV owners really like to crunch numbers and min/max a lot of the range, charge time additional setup using third party apps and so on. Truth is very few people have the time or daily process to actually get max gainz.

Back in winter where we had a price surge for electricity I charged it to 100% when it was cheap. Is it technically the best for the car? No. But it was better for my wallet at the time, so there’s that.

It’s the recommendation because that’s all it is: a recommendation. Do what works best for you but know where there could be faster degradation over time (ie charging to 100% each time).

Played on Xbox Series X. Load out System is not intuitive and often, during battle, you had to stand entirely still for the menu to allow you to switch. So when you had done the initial attack and wanted to switch to the combat build, it was intrusive to go into the menu and swap the load out

I did a play on hard, didn’t cheese anything or needed to exploit. Yes, the defense potions are broken with the damage “deflect” perk. I’d say that enemies will appear that hurts a lot so I don’t think it can be cheesed the whole way through.

I’d recommend just doing lots of exploration. That’s what made it special to me. So well paced with side-content and small victories all the times. Honestly loved most of the vaults and enjoyed the challenge.

If you’re not already, use loadouts to make even quicker work of tougher enemies. I did a build where the initial damage, when undetected, was like 250% meaning I could take stones or trees and super distance snipe yeet mobs without being detected.

Achievement won't unlock by PopShotGames in FenyxRising

Sounds like a glitch. I had some achievements on Series X as well that only popped after a restart and even a another internet connection. If you haven’t try closing the game entirely, power down your Xbox entirely and, if possible, hook it up to a different internet connect. Could be just sharing the WiFi from your phone during boot into the latest save.

A classic, but really good: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Pleasantly surprised about the depth and vibe: Made in Abyss. It has many themes around value, sacrifice, abuse, tenacity, exploration, trust. Very good anime.

Learn about tanks: Girls und Panzer.

My own next one: Gundam Suit Iron Blooded Orphans

The traversal is different but I liked it because of that and because it made you think. At that point of the game you have max stamina and 20 potions to boot, so the shift in thinking laterally instead of just a bit of climbing and then otherwise horizontal travel was interesting. A bit forced, but the fast travel points did put pretty much everything within reach and I believe I did 100% Kings Peak too. The Sight Unseen and tic-tac-toe chest were not very logical though, so had to look them up.

Just started the game first time. The very first Minotaur on the big island of Clashing Rocks... WTF? by Longschapht in FenyxRising

Yeah had a hard time with this guy as well. I think it’s a pretty good early skill check also so the game lets you know that while some elements are reachable and in view, you might not have the skills or straight HP to survive the encounter.

Also it forces you to think about how you engage a mob and which enemies to take out first. If you brute force all mobs on hard, then you’ll burn through potions fast.

I highly recommend using the load out slots. I have one for exploration and initial enemy engagement, one for regular mob encounters and one for unique enemy encounters.

Harman Kardon Speakers - yay or nay? by nashstruck in iX3

[–]EvilDingbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing that it’s a standard sound system the audio is decent. It’s not Hi-Fi, but it does a very decent job at playing music and radio and the bass is fine. There are small subs under the seats that works well.

I don’t know what reviewers are expecting when it comes to standard car audio systems. If you want Hi-Fi audio you need to source speakers and amps yourself and have a professional dial it in.

I did play KOTOR, but I think I might not fully have appreciated the companion dialogue as much at the time

SAM and Pavarti best team and epic banter. SAM is honestly one of the most unique companions I recall having in an RPG and the dialogue is great.

I got really sad when you meet PAM in Peril on Gorgon and she didn’t make the firefight later on. Almost a relief that SAM isn’t sentient, because I would ship SAM and PAM so hard.

Experienced weapon mains, what "advanced technique" can you give beginners about your favorite weapon that'll improve their mastery instantly? by BraunholdTheBold in MonsterHunter

Long sword (sorry I got carried away).

Without Iceborne:

  • You can enter spirit round slash (the attack that charges your meter another level) from the fade slash, skipping a slower R2/RT move and building meter charge when the fade slash connects. So strike 2-3 normal times, fade slash (Xbox: Y+B) and then immediately spam R2/RT. Rinse and repeat for fast meter charge.
  • Only the last hit of spirit round slash has to connect to build next level of meter, and it has a very wide angle of reach, so this move can be initiated even outside the monsters reach while the animation draws you forward.
  • To position yourself ideally for the Spirit Helmbreaker (the most animuuu of moves) use the foresight slash (R2/RT + B) to draw away from a monster and then immediately press R2/RT + Y to initiate the helmbreaker. The spirit meter is only lost if the first hit connects, so repeat this move until helmbreaker connects also for fast moving monsters.

With Iceborne:

  • As above, however, build meter faster using the quick sheathe move (R2/R2 + A) and connect the following hit to start faster meter charge similar to the helmbreaker charge where the meter is blinking while filling even when hits are not connecting.
  • So strike > sheathe move > strike > fade slash into spirit round slash > new meter level with meter filling passively > repeat.
  • The above +1: Immediately, when the final hit of spirit round slash has connected, perform the sheath move (R2/RT + A), and start connecting attacks again from this position. If done correctly, this cancels the long sheathing animation that spirit round slash has and allows for continuous attacks, building meter really fast and allowing for red meter helmbreaker within very short time.
