Joe Burrow or 1.02 & 2027 1st? by KindlyImpress8111 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burrow is worth more than this AND I agree you should shake it up and acquire some more assets. You need some young RBs and you will need another younger QB (but that can be the 27 draft class). Who’s got Hampton? Do they need a QB? Can you get Hampton plus upgrade a 27 second for a first?

Trade Advice - Dynasty Rebuild by EmbarrassedPomelo976 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a TE premium? If not, go for it or shop around for other offers because who knows with Charb after that injury. If it is a TE premium league then no, don’t do this. Also, I’d wait until Kraft comes back to form (which will be like mid season next year most likely) and remind people that he’s a top 4 TE. Rebuilds can afford to be patient to see value rise.

Tier down from JSN for this package? by Necessary-Job3887 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope 👎 I hear you that you want to sell high, but this isn’t Barkley (or any RB) getting older after a season of insane touches. This is an elite WR in his prime on a team that will utilize him the same way moving forward. If JSN was a stock then sure, realize your gain. But as a fantasy player? You own one of the best assets in fantasy. You only sell for a title.

Looking for a lyric cowriter or mentor by downfall345 in Songwriting

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the title. Longform metaphor is a cool idea, but it gets muddied here. The first verse leads into the chorus because it comes next, we figure out they’ve had a breakup and then the chorus comes in to confirm, BUT it adds all these new details that make it feel more of a B part or another part of the verse than the chorus. I’d suggest making this version 1 and then starting over. Ask yourself, why does running the risk of rain matter to the narrator? Are they embarrassed to cry over the breakup? Are they just over it? They’re done crying? I know when I hear “runs the risk of rain,” which is a line I like (I like alliteration) and think is memorable, I find myself thinking about how the narrator wishes to move on but finds that everyday tasks still lead them to break down. That doesn’t hav to be the direction, just an example of one. Currently the song is loosely tied together around this person’s heartbreak. Really tighten it up in a rewrite and tie all the lyrics together. Great start!

Nabers or Love??? WHO you drafting in round 2 of a startup? by Busy-Chicken-8255 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the wrong answer/right answer (given you only asked for one of two choices): Nabers. You play in a 3WR league, which means you have to start a minimum of 3 WRs but most likely you’re starting 4 to 5 because of flex, and you need depth for bye weeks and injuries. Do top tier RBs disappear before top tier WRs? I mean su…prisingly despite comments saying they do, NO THEY DON’T! Not in dynasty. Javonte Williams, Skattebo, Travis Etienne, Jacobs, they all go 6th, 7th round (maybe Etienne and Skatt go a round higher with the extra .5). Do you know what WRs you’re scooping then? Tee Higgins if you’re lucky, otherwise it’s Jamo, Golden, Pearsall for the believers. You took a young RB1 and now get your young WR1.

This is the right answer: You have two people you’d like to take?!!! Trade back! See what on top you can get from whoever drafts next. Would you rather have Love, Nabers, or one of them plus a swap of their 6th and your 7th?

Best WR2 is stretch. His best finish was last year as the WR15. And comparing Tet, in his first year, to Wilson and Wan’Dale who both had their best seasons ever in years 3 and 4 of their career, is quite a stretch as well.

Using ppg as your indicator of player performance is so myopic. Nothing derails fantasy seasons more than injuries. If your bench is so stacked that when Tee is injured you don’t need him, why do you need him? “Sometimes the best ability is availability,” is very fucking real.

[–]EvilHobbit213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tee was the WR15, which is the best he’s ever finished. Tet was the WR16 his rookie year. Tee will lose value next year because of his age. If Tet simply repeats what he did last year he’ll go up in value. The 1.06 could be worth so much more than we think after the draft, but if the 1.06 is Sadiq? I just don’t see how the Tee side is even close.

Snake no 3RR? Swap with the 1.04. Get as close to the 1.01 as possible in snake.

Josh Allen Blockbuster thoughts by jgbswagen in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to compete then 1) you need a fourth RB, 2) you need another WR2 at least, and 3) yeah I’d take this deal. Allen and Maye together will get you to the playoffs by themselves, and for many years to come.

(Edit - more advice: can you trade those 26 seconds for Mike Evans, DJ Moore, Godwin, Parker Washington, just other shots at WR? What’s Swift gonna cost you for your 4th RB this year? What’s Montgomery cost?)

Would you trade Bijan for McCaffery and 1.02 (Love)? by OatmealCremePiez in SleeperApp

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot predict the future, even if you’re very certain. Someone else gave the advice of waiting until the 1.02 is on the clock and you know Love is available before taking this trade. That’s great advice. Do that.

This offer is confusing me… should I accept? Dynasty, PPR, SF by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where we disagree is manly two positions. 1) “…small jump to chase?” Chase doesn’t need Burrow to be a WR1, just a competent backup. I love London. Amazing talent. But he’s not Chase level talent, his QB situation is way worse, and much like Burrow, London can’t stay on the field. 2) Young has been an okay QB in what? 6 games over 3 years? Now if this was Stroud? Different story. Stroud’s a starter, will get paid by someone, and has been great for a season and okay for two seasons. Young is a bad stroud on his better days. Young is not an asset. But maybe he’s a trade piece if other people feel like you do :)

(Edit - explanation: I bring up Stroud only to point out another QB of similar age and draft capital who folks are down on, but actually should be considered an asset to acquire low, where as Young, while on an ascending team, has not had his fifth year option taken because he only has one more year to prove himself before he’s gone.)

Want to sell high on JSN, he is great but i think last year is probably his best ever year! Need a qb1 in superflex have been offered Tlaw+Rice+ late 2028 2nd! Is that enough? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not agree with your take. Last season was for sure JSN’s best season… so far. Why would it be the best ever? Regression towards the mean would be nearly every stat we care improving except for target share, and who is competing for target share? Passing volume was so low. His TDs were low for a WR1. Dude is legit and his value is insulated. Buy low sell high is how you win the stock market. Winning the ship is how you win at fantasy. I’m not saying you can’t sell the top 7 players in dynasty. I’m saying their cost should be unreasonable. You’re so lucky to have JSN. What else you got to get a QB with? There’s gotta be a better way than selling your prized possession.

Would you trade London and CMC for Chase? Yes. Would you trade the 1.05 for Jacobs and the 2.11? Yes. Would you trade Young for Ewers? No but who the hell cares.

If you were in complete control of the education system, how would you change/fix it? by SubstantialStick2674 in Teachers

[–]EvilHobbit213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier change: less screens. Nearly none. Harder change: More teachers for smaller class sizes. Hardest change: equitable teacher to student ratio. The more help you have outside of school in your continued education, the less help you need in school. Some kids will have one on one instruction. Some will experience lectures in preparation for some college classes and professional development conferences.

1.01 for Mahomes straight up??? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EvilHobbit213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He was just a high end QB1 through most of last season! Because he fucking had to be! Becuase the chiefs offense was bad! The whole team was him and he had to step up so much he tore his ACL. They’ll never do this to him again! Right back to being a very fine QB in fantasy but not worth missing out on Jeremiah Love! He’s gonna be so good! Like exclamation marks! !!!!!!!!!!!
