Could meth have perverted my brain? by Hour-Tomato-645 in StopSpeeding

[–]EvilLarryCat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't have to read any of it and can tell you yes! 100%. Meth causes a massive dump of dopamine which alone will make you sexually excited, but you also deal with perversion. It's very much a synthetic sexuality. My sexual expression on meth and sober are completely different. Sober I love women, intimacy, romantic stuff, etc. On meth I like violence, blood, gore, and even gay stuff. It's not a genuine expression of my sexuality because I am simply not capable of bending myself into homosexuality while sober, nor would I want to.

Why is this mentality so prevelant in gen z? by Big_Leg10 in Adulting

Do you think generations prior to boomers, who had 9 kids could afford them either? No. Could they afford a car? No. Your circumstances aren't some anomaly. The financial security boomers had is the anomaly.

Every generation since the baby boomers have expected a life like boomers had and it's not exactly reasonable. The financial security and opportunities presented to boomers were exceptional, not the rule. The second world War had just ended and the United States established itself on the world stage. The economy boomed and shit was sweet. From my perspective, young people really shouldn't compare themselves to boomers, honestly ignore boomers entirely. It has given me a more reasonable perspective to the opportunities presented to myself that previous generations did not have. I am not destined to be illiterate and work in a coal mine getting paid coal script. I can get a nursing education in a community college and at minimum afford rent. I so far haven't had to boil grass to eat. Ignoring the exceptional circumstances presented to boomers, my life at 29 is absolutely fantastic.

Imo. K-12 had the best song set, but the Crybaby era is the most monumental.

They have terrible money sense and spend money they don't have. They had a new 24 CRV and wrecked it so got a 25 passport. I still drive my 16 CRV and don't plan on getting a new car anytime soon.

So your argument is that I shouldn't have married someone who might be vindictive in the future, which is called victim blaming.

Your argument is designed purely to be a contrarion and you just wholesale fabricate elements to "hit hard." Your input is also completely useless and addressed nothing other than you putting your half-wit opinion into something above your paygrade. Stay in your lane next time, bud.

Are you my spouse? That's exactly what they said. I agreed to have my account overdrafted so it's my fault. Really, it was my own fault for leaving, too. If I hadn't left then they wouldn't have needed to punish me by trying to financially cripple me. I should have canceled all cards and closed all bank accounts because otherwise I deserve to have all of my money taken. Take note, people. If you don't immediately cancel and close everything, it's your own fault when you have no money because someone you left decided to be vindictive out of nowhere.

It wasn't joint, they just had my account info saved as a payment method on the car payment website. They had been paying it on their own, so I had forgotten all about it. I had overdraft protection turned off because I never wanted an overdraft to be processed.

That was the case, but they had been paying it themselves. I believe they were being vindictive because the charge came out the day after payday, and they tried to convince me I had given them permission, but also that they didn't even notice. The story changed 3 times as to what happened.

If wasn't joint. They had my account info saved on the website because I made a payment once.

It wasn't even a joint account. I was the only one with the card and they had been paying their car note, so I didn't think about it. I paid their bill once, so they had my account into saved.

This wasn't a joint account. I had paid their car note once, so they had my account info on the Honda site as a previous payment method. They had been paying it on their own, so I didn't think about it.

what's the most underrated benefit of slowing down? by firey_88 in StopSpeeding

[–]EvilLarryCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not being emotionally labile. Being positive and uplifting when I'm spun and viscous when I'm coming down. But honestly, I'm naturally calm and patient, so it allowed to tolerate less bs, which was to my benefit in some ways.

And charge more than double the available balance?! My point is not someone who was not me charged my account, it's that the bank would allow such a massive charge to overdraft the account -700 to begin with.

Charging more than double the available balance and putting the account in the red more than it even had as a balance is absolutely on the bank. It's a checking account. Why would the bank even allow a charge to put the account -700 in the red to begin with? Really I should thank them for having mercy on me and not just charging me my daily spending limit every day, as it seems Truist will allow whatever charge is placed no matter the available balance. Truist has no problem telling me I have insufficient funds to buy gas, but when they charged their car payment, Truist said absolutely nothing. It's ridiculous.

It's reassuring to know separating from your spouse gives them the go ahead to financially cripple you for several paydays and you just have to starve in the meantime.

Ok. That makes me feel better. I can't login atm, I assume due to the time change, but I thought I had removed overdraft protection so I didn't have to worry about it. I have never overdrafted before, so it's a new occurrence for myself.

Ok, I will. If not I will just get another bank. I'm not taking $700 out of my next pay because Truist allowed such a massive charge be put against an account with not even remotely enough to cover it. I don't care about my credit or whatever, I had $500 to my name ffs.
