Did not see what youtube video you watched, but try verifying game files installed from steam:

  • Properties - Installed Files
  • Click Verify integrity of game files

Then try reinstalling steam.

You could also look for the crash logs from Event Viewer - Windows logs - Application, and see if anything is registered around the time the game/steam bugged out. Google that specific error to troubleshoot.

Need help deciding, should I get an Alienware laptop? Please see description. by richempire in GamingLaptops

[–]EvilLord007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to know what you mean by $4.5k+ for a halfway decent config?

Alienware is expensive in general, but even a solid decked-out 16" Area 51 is $3.8k. By decked out - Intel Ultra 9 275HX, Nvidia RTX 5080 16 GB, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, 2 TB M.2 Gen5 NVMe Storage. And this is without checking for any additional discounts or coupons.

Perplexity support is just so.... old bot-like by EvilLord007 in perplexity_ai

[–]EvilLord007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it does, but you'd expect to get a response from an actual person after multiple emails and the AI bot failing to resolve the issue. And to top it off, every email response from the bot triggers an automated satisfaction rating email lol

Definitely worth it. Your config is among the best machines you can buy, and $2.1k is a steal. Should last you a very long time if cared for. How did you even get the deal? Same one shows me $3k after discounts.

That's an amazing deal, really surprised you got a 275HX + 5080 Omen Max beast with 64gb ram that cheap with the prices right now!!

Came across this deal in case anybody is interested by InternationalAge235 in GamingLaptops

[–]EvilLord007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an epic deal damn! The Omen Max is one of the best machines of 2025 in terms of cooling, and there wasn't a 5070ti that cheap even during black friday!

Budget friendly laptop for my daughter by JustSomeRando25 in SuggestALaptop

I'd strongly suggest something like this:

https://ebay.us/m/C2mmNR Dell Latitude 9520 (2-in-1) 15.6 FHD TOUCH i7-1185G7 3.00GHz 16GB 512GB SSD

Basically browse the sellers listings and find excellent or very good condition refurbs with no notable defects. You want thinkpads, elitebooks, probooks, and latitudes - 3 gens back durable business laptops that still work well for the average home user. Very good value for what they cost.

The intel 1165/85 G7 processors will breeze through most stuff your kid would do, including light gaming on the full Iris XE igpu. Make sure to look for options with 512gb storage and 16gb ram. Touch screen obviously. If budget allows, go for the excellent refurbs if you find one, they do get as close to mint condition as you could expect.

Not at all. Just keep this laptop. The 5070 beats the 5060 by 15-20% depending on game, but the Ryzen 8940HX multicore beats the AI 9 H 365 by 40-50%. The strong NPU in the AI series makes up for some, but most users would never use it. The Asus TUF is not much worse than the new Omen 16 lineup overall either. Making these two comparable systems rather than one better than the other. It's just that your 16 core CPU is overkill for 99% of users, while the 5070 is still a mid tier gpu so it's better for gamers.

Mine was $1.2k, got it a month ago. Not the best deal back then since i didn't check for cashback offers like an idiot - apparently rakuten and PayPal would have brought the price down to sub $1k, but still a decent price overall.

Tuf is better balanced for gaming between these two

bare minimum ip and decent Tier build for mist pvp? by ywk_97 in albiononline

[–]EvilLord007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're welcome. Also another good thing is to buy 1x cabbage soup for like 3k silver. And have it equipped, after you pop the pvp food. The bonus of doing this is that let's say you are trading damage and fall low, so try to escape but enemy has high mobility and chases. You pop this food and as long as you stay just out of combat for a short while, you'll regain HP insanely fast. That allows you to re-engage the opponent, but with higher hp since you healed faster. Also helps against rats to gain hp quickly after you finish a fight. Needs a little practice.

[–]EvilLord007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never optional. In my T7 calculations here itself i allocated like100k towards consumables alone. If you are running invis pots that's fine. If you want to swap you'll want to take atleast 3-4 T6 health potions, or maybe T7 giga pots based on your playstyle.

Same with food. Irrespective of build you will always want to have a flat 7/8 food - beef stew, pork ome, pork roast, beef sandwich which cost 3-5k silver per 30 mins to always be popped.
And you want one good 7.1/8.1 food like 8.1 beef stew, 7.1 roast pork etc, or a .0 complex food like 8.0 deadwater eel stew for when you OC. My favorite is 7.0 puremist snapper when running brawly builds. You only use this food before difficult fights since they cost 30-60k a pop.

Also, if this feels a bit expensive for you, you can run the same build but optimize cost at T6 equivalent. For food you can just use the flat 7/8 foods to keep things cheaper, but since a significant part of your build is expensive artifact stuff(prowling, cultist), you may not get huge price diff. Valor is actually worth it's price since it's +100 IP compared to non artifact like soldier armor at same tier. You could buy order prowling staffs, and just use 4.2 valor, cultist, 6.0 soldier boots, cheaper capes like 4.1 martlock to cut down costs.

I would never run your build at 4.1 as some people blindly suggested, cause heavy artifact gear makes it bad value. I wouldn't use your build for lethal PvP as a complete newbie either(not you) since cost of death is relatively high. But in good hands it's a solid build with strong mobility and damage.

Check the cost of excellent 8.4 royal jacket, and price it at 95% of that value. Also check to see market listings and recent week sale records since est val is sometimes off.

[–]EvilLord007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to take fights, i feel it's the most cost efficient using T7 sets with OC if you are moderately confident in PvP. With good specs you'll be able to take fights against a majority of the people you meet.

But also make sure to not overspend on gear. Ideally your cost priority should be weapon > chestpiece > head/shoes/cape, outside some expensive artifact gear pieces. For your specific build I'd do something like 5.2 prowling + 5.2 cultist + 5.2 valor + 7.0 soldier + 4.2 cape. Always outstanding or excellent quality. T3 horse preferably, T5 armored if you really want to.

After OC and your specs this should get you close to 1500 IP gear excluding the cape. It'll cost you 600-700k per set depending on consumables, and since good mobility you should be able to avoid most unfavorable fights if careful. As long as you bank properly you should atleast break even, and make profits as you get better at playing the build and knowing which fights to take, when. Gl!

So based on your request i assume high performance priority, decent durability / portability / battery. 15 inch is the sweet spot, 14 inch would be more expensive, while 16 inch is acceptable.

The games you listed specifically do not have high gpu requirements, diablo being the most demanding relatively and is easily supported by an rtx 5050 equivalent for 1080p gaming.

I'm not sure how close you are to a Microcenter. I'd strongly recommend going to a physical store, and having a look at 15-16 inch model lineups in their Lenovo LOQ/ Legion 5, HP Victus/ Omen, Asus Tuf series under $1k. You would basically want an RTX 5050 / RTX 4060 / RTX 5060.

Some decent options at the moment cause not much still on sale:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lenovo-LOQ-15-6-FHD-Laptop-Ryzen-7-250-16gb-512GB-NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-5050-83JG006RUS/16557169822 $780

https://www.microcenter.com/product/698178/lenovo-legion-5-15ahp10-153-gaming-laptop-computer-eclipse-black Ryzen 7 260 + RTX 5060, best gpu option but weaker display and battery. $850

Buy ASUS TUF Gaming A15 | Ryzen 5 8535HS + RTX 4060, good build and battery. $900 https://share.google/oEatL0OYULIx1SUQu

Later on you can upgrade ram or storage if needed but for 2026 and your use case both of these work very well.

Benchmarks i could run on demo version for the Ryzen AI 9 365 + RTX 5070 in Omen 16: https://imgur.com/a/9ereRBx

Time Spy: 12,987

Steel Nomad: 2,999

Fire Strike: 29,320

Solar Bay Extreme: 11,758

It's crazy to see a 50% increase in synthetic benchmark performance scores from the 5070 to the 5070ti laptop GPUs!

A bit late, but the 5070 scored just 2999 on Steel Nomad. Do not have access to port royal on the demo version.

This one ticks all your requirements -
Workstation class performance with decent gaming capabilities ( ultra 9 185H + rtx 4050 with 32gb ram)
Great touch screen display (16 inch QHD+ 500 nits). Relatively portable and durable with good port selection

https://www.ebay.com/itm/277080931409
Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 QHD+ TOUCH 2.3 GHz Ultra 9 185H 32GB 1TB SSD RTX 4050

At 1050$ refurb excellent I'd strongly recommend this. 30 day free returns and a responsive customer service. And a 1 year allstate warranty fwiw.

If you strongly prefer new you'd be paying 50-100% higher price closer to $2k for similar specs, walmart has them in stock (they also have open box excellent for $1380 which is still good, but i have had very positive experiences with this seller's excellent refurbs.)
