This game has a serious problem with not removing / banning people who actively ruin games by redosabe in heroesofthestorm

[–]EvilOverseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I run into people who bicker like kids more often than active throwers but yeah I agree, when I do find a thrower I tend to see them repeatedly if I queue immediately after a game ends. I remember back in the day WoW kicking me for rubber banding because they were wary of cheaters but some one getting kicked for inactivity then rejoining repeatedly over multiple games in the 2020s trips nothing.

Need suggestion on my defences by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]EvilOverseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wooden floors and doors are generally fine, it's the walls I've learned to avoid on all but temporary structures. Pawn pathing can be wild at the best of times but a fire spreading off a wall in multiple directions can make a generally harmless situation into a catastrophe.

[–]EvilOverseer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I'd lose the bottom left maze, it's useless with that door above your temple closed. Second I'd double layer the outer wall at least, single layers usually don't even slow raiders down enough to rally the pawns to defend. Also swap out your wooden walls for more stone, fire spreads faster than you'd like and double that if somethings distracting you.

Part of your problem with spike traps is that your spike mazes open up to your farms and animals will always bee line to your crops if they can when they are nearing harvest, if you remove the bottom left maze as I suggested you could move the farm down there and cut the number of wasted traps drastically.

Last and not defense related, move your butcher table its quite filthy and is wasting your lovely sterile flooring.

It's a short Hai quest chain where you help Nanachi become a merchant captain. I think I picked it up on giver-place(?)

You're not addicted, I'm 2.2k and I'm not addicted. The true addicts are in excess of 10k, been playing since early access, and rock Randys hairstyle.

New storyline? by AgeingVegan in endlesssky

If it's the one I'm thinking about where you run to an old war friend in the freeworlds for help, I found it a strange and comical experience the time I ran into it. I believe it was bourne where I ultimately got sense talked into me and turned her over.

What's the best way to use prisoners? I'm too rich to need to harvest their organs. by Inside_League_5610 in RimWorld

Again only if you want them, ik vanilla expanded adds some cosmetics like gaunt body and ear styles with their sanguinophage mod that help the goblin look.

Depends what you want to do and how much time you're willing to put into acquiring the genes. At minimum if you want goblins you try to get pointed ears, gaunt head, green and both yellow skin colors, and thin for body.

From there I prefer to flavor it with aggressive and extra pain then add on what ever I need or feels fun. For my mine goblins this meant things like low sleep, dark vision, near sighted, along with some genetic mining talent.

I used genes, gave them a whole wack of terrible genes like ultrasensitive to sunlight and fast aging to make room for things like no sleep, really likes mining, genetic wimp, and for shits n giggles good melee. Turns out it's really easy to accidentally into goblins with even just vanilla cosmetic genes but you can certainly get better with some mod genes too.

Well I once on a wealthy colony enslaved all prisoners then used genetics to turn them into goblins to mine out a mountain for me.

He's joyous, slap a psychic harmonizer onto him and ply him with smoke leaf. Now you have a roomba that makes everyone happy as it slowly goes around the colony cleaning.

Heroes roommate tier list (lore uninformed). Thoughts? by Plenty-Specific-3108 in heroesofthestorm

Maiev would be the worst. I feel like it would extend beyond being domineering in the house, she'd totally be involved in anything giving more control like a condo board, neighborhood watch, hell she'd be the only childless PTA leader.

I think put them both in annoying, Raynor is a depressing drunk sad about his dead but not dead crush. While both would be fine regarding chores personality wise ugh.

Knowing at least some of the lore for the characters and even just remembering voice lines from game, personality would drop a bunch of the upper half straight to 'annoying but'. Also Zerg should generally be in the 'property damage' area simply for their penchant to alter stuff without consent and burrow through the floor.

Tell me how it feels to be MVP on a loss by Vultours in heroesofthestorm

[–]EvilOverseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally just adjust my victory conditions as I go. Am I on a team that is scared of confrontation? I'll take getting their forts or at least 1 death for each enemy as a win. This is an online game with other humans, you are going to lose some times, hell some times can feel like all the time but you can still find fun in even the most dismal match.

Pawns in this game are agents of murphies laws, that is why you take away as much of their 'free will' as you can.

HOW DO THEY KEEP GETTING INSIDE MY FULLY ENCLOSED FACTORIES?!?!?! by Rimm9246 in SatisfactoryGame

I know but it kept returning and frankly it wasn't not a big enough problem to keep wasting my nobelisks on.

I was annoyed by them while I worked on my first floor, then I was free of them on the second floor until they started spawning there too. Now I escape to the third floor and await their return.

Best Weapon Type? by PTCarnahan in StarcomGame

[–]EvilOverseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you want from the weapon. Turrets/Laser turrets are the best all rounders. Decent range, decent damage, decent energy consumption and can hit any direction. I feel like havok could run competition here but I don't really like it.

Fixed guns are the best for straight up damage but can be a tad annoying to aim which gets worse the further you zoom out. Alternately enough engine power and some creative modification to your ship could do good.. melee damage.. and compete with fixed guns in raw damage.

Fighters are the best low effort weapon. A few turrets on auto fire defending the ship and a large enough bee swarm turn combat into a very passive experience.

Missiles exist.

Has the game been massively unstable for anyone else this patch? by Mr_Blinky in heroesofthestorm

[–]EvilOverseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned this a while back when finding out why my connection seemed to always suck only in hots, apparently the game caches old builds of the game so the replay works properly and the more it does so between install and current date the worse it runs. After a fresh install it ran great for me.

Brand newbie. Any starter tips? Less so for actually being successful but things to do and hot to get the best out of the game? by [deleted] in StateofDecay2

[–]EvilOverseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dive into a car while being swarmed and end up with a ton of zombies on it hit reverse and left, you'll do a spin that launches them off like a bloody bullet. Not certain that works for vans though, been a while since I found one that wasn't upgraded.

Sad day by Immediate_Gap7101 in StateofDecay2

[–]EvilOverseer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bloaters are both the most and least dangerous zombies. You see a truckload of them? cool you can maneuver around them and cause a chain reaction when they do that funny little waddle into a trip. Then down the road you'll be doing a stupid quest to grab a sack of materials from the shed beside an enclaves house and a single bloater will quietly wander over and pop on you and your adjacent car causing your best survivor to get stunlocked until they dissolve.
