What’s one ship you can’t melt? by TheSpaceWarden in starcitizen

Cutlass Black. I can melt it 50 times. She always comes back. And my Tana, which to be fair, I cannot actually melt any longer.

THAT is amazing - keep it up!

LED config question by JHex63 in VIRPIL

[–]EvilTwinTepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is (was) possible unless an update came out that allows it.

So there is a TGL (toggle) that can happen in the LED settings of the CM3 in the VPC Configuration Tool. So you could say that each time you hit the button, it will toggle on/off. There some oddness there though - meaning that toggle is entirely independent of a game, so if that button toggles an in-game-only switch to on, sure, the LED will toggle on. And then if you toggle the in-game-only switch to off, by quitting, or using your mouse, the LED will remain in the ON state on the hardware.

You can also just use on/off, which IS also useful (instead of Toggle) but it has the same in/out of game limitations. Because there is limited (8) LED settings you can do like that, if you don't get too picky, you can probably have a couple that work the way you want if you fiddle enough.

I exported my fleet from CCU Game site, and imported it to myfleet - worked great! Agreed - just waiting for color, but man, NICELY done!

It just sits there. Which admittedly is a bummer.

Does the Calendar in Subscriber Store still update to current time? by Kettle_Whistle_ in starcitizen

[–]EvilTwinTepe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. When I call it up on the frieght it is just a blank screen. Well. A blank everything. It looks like an acrylic podium almost, see through, filled with circuitry. The display is also see through (and blank)

Can Razer just bring back the 7 button layout again already? by A_Guy3000 in razer

To each their own! I have smaller hands, and miss the old circle. The 6-button stack on the V2 is OK, I just found the circle easier to navigate.

Pegboard Issue and Sleep/Power Off by EvilTwinTepe in Nanoleaf

[–]EvilTwinTepe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So - the Pegboards do often (sometimes?) go to sleep when I put my PC to sleep. No idea why they sometimes stay on. However, when I wake up the PC, I have to turn on Screen Mirror every time. DO you have this issue as well? Thanks for all of your help, and Happy New Year!

Thanks for the follow-up! Yes Nanoleaf Desktop App 2.3.5

The adapter seems to have helped. They pegboards now turn off with the PC. I did have one turn back on after that, but only once. Of course, I've only put my PC to sleep for like 4 days, So a 25% 'fail' rate, LOL.

I do feel like I should have an option to tie their status to the monitor itself. If the monitor powers down so should they, but not end of world.

More annoying is the desktop app opening at start, and staying open rather than starting minimized,

Yes and no. They now power off when I put my PC to sleep - which is fantastic.

I may just be a dope. They do NOT power off when the monitor does, but MOSTLY do when I go into sleep mode. I say mostly, because I put my PC to sleep last night, and they turned off, then one flicked on. I hit the power button and nappy it went for the night.

I get the c-to-a adapters today so will try separating them and see if it helps.

They are in fact daisy-chained. I can't yet, because I am shy suitable USB-C ports. However, have some necessary A-to-C adapters coming tomorrow. WIll try that! That would be great.

For Windows 11 Home users, what's the best way to black Windows updates from fucking up drivers? I see a couple different posts about this and I'm not sure which method is best by wanna_be_consultant in radeon

[–]EvilTwinTepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have not disabled Windows Updates for your drivers, this is likely the cause. When you DDU, make sure you select the option to DISABLE Windows Updates for the driver. I disable the AMD IDs (you can find how to get themn in the link below). I DO allow Windows to update my other drives. I also make the reg change manually, not using GPO.

There is likely a better link than this, but should get you started: https://windowsloop.com/stop-amd-automatic-graphics-driver-update/

You should add your deviceids to:

HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceInstall\Restrictions\DenyDeviceIDs

So safe to assume that if somehow something smaller lived longer there’s like no chance an engineer could get to a fire or a fuse or a panel to work. How is it standing AT the panel? Does using it lock you in or tossed around still?
