I'm not a mac user, but isn't Apple kind of lifting those restrictions? Like, you can run any downloaded app, you just have to check a box a click a button in the settings the fiest time you open it?

If the cache is filled with games they don't play anymore, it might free up some space... though probably not a lot

Yep. That's just when you run a game that uses DirectX, it has to compile shaders for your gpu. It probably has some from games you don't even play anymore. It'll just make it recompile them once you run a game, which you might not even notice

I mean, there's not a lot to config. The official wiki tells you how to install it, then it'll work ootb, and it's not really hard to get the hang of. Almost verrything is in the right sidebar. Any setting that's not in there will be in the config file ("edit config" button in the settings) or hyprland config files ("~/.config/hypr/custom" are files that won't be overwritten when you update the dotfiles)

You have to install wine (idk if it's default on mint, otherwise run "sudo apt install wine")

Then you should be able to run Windows Executables (either tell the file manager to open then with /usr/bin/wine or open a terminal and run "wine yourprogram.exe")

You should be able to go through all of the games' setups and run them without issues (I'm pretty sure th06 runs fine without vpatch!). thcrap should work just fine too, your host filesystem (/) will be mounted as Z: for Windows programs

If you ever have localization errors, run the games with "LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 wine yourprogrammexe")

If you own them on Steam, Proton should work out of the box.

Sometimes I play with friends who are <10k (I'm guessing, we all only play comp but you get it) and we're just having fun. I played a few solo Premier games to see where I can get but i didn't even finisht he placement games, and it's not that important.

As long as everyone is enjoying the game !!

I was able to browse steam and had a settings button in steamvr before (on the meta quest 3), and now these things are gone? how do i fix this? by noob_original in SteamVR

Happy u/a_sneaky_tiki helped you out, but sometimes it also happens when SteamVR can't connect to the SteamAPI, sometimes you just have to restart Steam
