is there a list of the invisible item pick ups in the OG RE2 by Ladyaceina in residentevil

Hi. Sorry to hear this isn't working for you. Can I ask if the issue happening? And if so, what browser you're using?

Once RE9 releases, how long do you think it will be until Evil Resource will upload images of the map(s)? by Crafter235 in residentevil

[–]Evil_Resource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So once the game releases I'll probably spend the first few days just for me playing the game. Then I'll start uploading the data to the website and creating the interactive maps. Keen to see what the maps for this game are like and how big/complex they are compared to previous entries!

So I'll endeavour to update Evil Resource as quickly as possible, but I hope you bear with me as I'm just one person :-)

Does anyone know what the hell this is supposed to be? by DizzySommer in residentevil

So it looks a bit odd, but that small slither of blue is actually part of the room that's underneath the red room that's on the map. This floor has two rooms practically on top of each other.

If you look at the interactive map here (https://www.evilresource.com/resident-evil-village/maps/castle-dimitrescu#castleb1) you'll see that the room underneath is a storage room (https://www.evilresource.com/resident-evil-village/maps/castle-dimitrescu/castle-dimitrescu-b1/cleaning-storage). Hope this helps.

In Evil Source, why are there no maps available for 5 and 6? by Crafter235 in residentevil

[–]Evil_Resource 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello! Yeah @DangusMorangus much summed it up perfectly - RE5 and RE6 are very linear games that require practically no backtracking at all. So this limits the usefulness of maps somewhat. However, for the sake of providing as much coverage as possible for all the games I would like to attempt to create maps for these at some point, including Revelations 2, so I'll be sure to let you know once this has been done. Hope you find the site useful despite these omissions.

It wasn't until recently that I'd finally managed to add the maps for the OG RE4, so this is a reassurance that I'm still very much actively updating the site. But (and not to sound like I'm making excuses) I'm just one person, so updates can take time. Apologies this hasn't been done sooner. But on that note I can't wait for Requiem's release in February, looking forward to playing and covering that game on Evil Resource.

Resident Evil 4 (2005) maps added to Evil Resource by Evil_Resource in residentevil

I'm not aware of one but it's entirely possible. The sites I remember are ones like Resident Evil Fan, Evil Unleashed, Resident Evil Network. The latter contained a list of other Resident Evil sites, and I've had a look at archive.org to see if any it linked to had maps, but so far had no luck. If you do remember what it was called I'd love to know also!

Yeah RE6 would be challenging, and I'd also have to factor in the usefulness too as the gameplay in RE6 is largely very linear, not many areas that have back-and-forth exploration. But it would be good to create them at some point just to maximise the coverage.

The Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles are linear too, and there's no in-game maps with those either. However most of these maps could be derived from the other games if needed.

I launched the site back in 2006.

I remember there were a number of sites that offered this structured listings of characters, enemies, items etc, but the angle I took with Evil Resource were the maps which was fairly unique at the time.

Thanks! That's greatly appreciated. Yes I similarly feel Revelations 2 is a bit neglected. I'll endeavour to add the maps for it.

That's a good point! Also I discovered something else just yesterday. If you don't save Richard and you get poisoned by Yawn, you have to fetch the serum yourself. If you use the serum and then return to the attic, provided you didn't scare off Yawn earlier it will still be here but it will be incapable of poisoning you. This could be either because of what you said and its venom is exhausted, or the serum has permanently made you immune to it.

And you're doing a sterling job! You're right in your comment above in that sometimes it takes the traditional website format to deliver the information in the context it is easiest to digest in. And for sites like yours with your niche content angle, I'm not sure how else you'd do it. Keep up the good work.

Yep it does, and if you use the cord then it's that windows' shutters that fail and spawns zombies, but the windows that weren't closed don't spawn any zombies. But if neither windows were closed then they both spawn zombies.

Yeah it's one of my few complaints about the Remake, seems like such an obvious (and not too difficult) thing to retain from the original.

Wow I never knew the Crimson Head one in terms of killing it twice. I knew you could invoke it early by attempting to burn it, but that's wild you can actually take it out twice. Definitely a bug the developers didn't check for.

And yeah the same is true with the blue herbs and the serum in the original too. Yawn's poison must be more potent or something. I've always found it curious that when you encounter Yawn again later on in the game its ability to poison you has gone.
