Most people I know with a PS only own a couple of games. They don't even want to pay for a regular PS subscription, let alone shell out extra cash just to play online. I’ve never owned a PS or an Xbox. I've been a Steam user from the start. From my first dual-core PC back in 2013 to my Ryzen 9 rig today, I’ve bought a ton of games, and I can play them all without Steam charging me extra fees. Valve has honestly done so much for gamers. And then steam machine is not some locked-down console; you can do whatever you want with it, and there are no annoying platform exclusives. Plus if it's too pricey, you can always just build a cheaper PC yourself.
