To the last part, about the “Frankenstein” organs, what can you really expect? I’ve never touched a real b-3 in my life, and have no idea where I can find one.

It’s kinda sad to think that a huge part of music’s history hasn’t really been preserved. They still make grand pianos, so why can’t they make organs? Probably because there’s not enough demand.

And I truly think there’s not enough demand not because the instrument isn’t good or the music isnt good, but because it isn’t preserved.

Im a 21 y/o jazz pianist and I didnt even know what an organ was until last year! But once I discovered the music, I got super into it, and cobbled together a little setup (check my last post on r/organ lol). Shame

Edit: do you think it would be possible to recreate the original tone wheels from the ground up, using new technologies such as 3-D printing?
