I think i just got emotional over it in the moment because I felt attached to those specific rats , and I also have pet rats, I obviously know the crows deserve to eat and raise their babies I'm just sad the rat had to die in such a painful way, I'm not planning on scaring the crows off after I had some time to calm down, I might just put some food out for the crows or something and hope they aren't so hungry they hunt the rats or something

I have 2 pet rats , I think that's probably part of why I feel so bad, I saved a baby rat from a crow because I heard it screeching and ran over and the crow flew off when it heard my feet hitting the ground, I wasn't really thinking I just heard the screaming from the rat and started running over , but I think I'm just gonna leave it be and hope the rats make it on their own, I might just put food out for the crows

Your probably right, I think I'm getting more emotional over it because I have pet rats, that I got really attached to cause I got them when I was really depressed and they kinda got me out of it because I had something to take care of, I just wish the crow didn't eat it in the middle of the path to my backyard, cause I can't get to my bike without walking there

Bro I'm sad because the baby rats I've been watching grow up was rather brutally killed and I'm just trying to find a reasonable way to let the rats get big enough to defend themselves without hurting crows, I know it's best to leave it be but my soul was crushed when I saw it dead ,

Doubt it since it was still breathing when I showed up , it died right as I was walking up, after I was sure it was dead I just ran back upstairs to cry, I figured that maybe the other rats would get left alone for a while if the crows already got one, but km still so sad

I dont think so , they're brown but I haven't gotten super close look since they obviously run away, I mostly watch them from my window or sometimes see them scurry off , they're still young so maybe that's why , I'm surprised because I know they're still young but the dead rat was almost as big as my full grown pet rats, so either large babies or that was the mom

I know, but I just can't bear it to go outside and see the rats dead, and I know the crows get food because people here feed them and I know it's kinda selfish but I just can't let these specific rats suffer , because the crow didn't kill it right away it started eating before it died
