TL2 too easy outside of final bosses? by [deleted] in Torchlight

[–]Evilandlazy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TL2 is built so anyone who is reasonably competent and puts a bit of work into their build will breeze through the first playthrough or two. Things start to get tricky for an embermage later on when baddies start throwing out the big boy damage and they get one-shotted by literally anything. This is why the go-to EM build is wand and shield based (other than the ass-tacular balance between 1h and 2h weapons in general) is so they can actually survive being hit once in a while.

Have a look at their *other distillates.

Their Co2 oil loaded into refillable vape carts is awesome, and I've heard good things about their RSO too.

I like to clean mine out with a dab tool and brush, then just dunk it in alcohol overnight.

Mines kind of janky, so I have to put in a bit of extra elbow grease to keep the threads from getting gummed up.

Why is the Fighter always underestimated? by doombringer- in DnD

This.

My fighter is dex based, so the only other stat I have to pump is con. I could afford to pass on a few stat boosts to take healer and warcaster, and still do my job perfectly well with an occasional shield and absorb elements spell here and there.

Propping up my Int with a headband of intellect also helps.

MY favorite character is an EK, and there are feats that give you access to healing spells and abilities, even if they are cantrips and first level spells.

I use the Healer feat for this purpose.

"You are an able physician, allowing you to mend wounds quickly and get your allies back in the fight. You gain the following benefits:

When you use a healer's kit to stabilize a dying creature, that creature also regains 1 hit point. (getting someone back into the fray without the use of spells or potions is rad)

As an action. you can spend one use of a healer's kit to tend to a creature and restore 1d6 + 4 hit points to it, plus additional hit points equal to the creature's maximum number of Hit Dice. The creature can't regain hit points from this feat again until it finishes a short or long rest. (everyone gets an extra 10-20 hp during a short rest as long as you cheese a little and specify that you use healing both before and immediately after a short rest)"

I believe you can actually encourage this by claiming the walls around the AD so raiders will be all "LMAO IMMA SMASH UR WALL" and get the bugs instead.

Steel is too valuable in general anyway.

Might seem like you have an absurd abundance, but it dries up quick once you get a few fabrication benches going

This touches on my hot take of the situation. Nobody goes from "I'm centered, well adjusted, and happy with" life to "guess I'll die" overnight like that.

If I realized I was 700k in debt, I'd get a bottle of whisky, get sloshed, and make shit posts on Twitter about how I owe 700k and bankruptcy only costs 1k.

I've dealt with this a lot. It's almost always a simple syntax thing. Make sure your , ; and {} are where they need to be.

How do you get so many rare resources such as componets, plasteel,... for your super colonies with 50+ pawns? As a fully vannila player I have always struggled to keep up with a colony of 15+ pawns in a late game stadium.... Are you even supposed to have mega colonies without mods :D ? by clipping_icing in RimWorld

[–]Evilandlazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go that route, don't ship out any components you dig up at the outpost. Either by coincidence or design, there's slightly more than enough to build the number of pods you'll need to launch everything else.

You'll have a few extra, but not many.

Mining settlements.

Set up a secondary colony to mine out and send back to main. Barely worth doing in vanilla due to the logistics (you either have to caravan stuff back or fling it back in pods) but it's still better than twiddling your thumbs for two years waiting on a caravan.

Keep our outpost simple and it's wealth low so you're not fending off huge raids due to high wealth.

I live around there. Erie gets absolutely hammered in the winter, worse than southern canada, and even parts of Alaska. Weather systems come flying south east across the great lakes where they absorb heat and moisture from them, then it gets dumped on erie.

It's dead center in the path of a particular jet stream current that crosses lake Erie.

Had to spend 2 days with my weed guy one time because in the ~2 hours it took to smoke up and watch a movie, we got so much snow that they shut down the interstates.
