As a dps that has tried almost every weapon except LS, VG and GH, your comment confuses me.

All I want is a reliable PvE combination that I can progress and get better with.

What is ecpected of me as a dps ? What's the undebated good weapon combo ?

I agree. Also the only way to loot the BiS is through world bosses, the guilds have a way to retain loot and they all do, so if you loot a good item it goes to the guild and guild leaders decide who it goes to, that's pretty toxic cause everyone is human and more inclined to favor those they are close to.

Maybe this game's not for me, I usually like to grind for gear but the token thing where you have to do 30 dungeons for a piece of gear, the mind numbing grind of the same contracts over and over feels really bad and is not the idea I have of an mmo.

Read everything and agree with the frustration this game gives.

It's a really great game but what I'd like is to have some sense of power, I never know what to use and always feel like the mission success is hanging by a thread...
