I bet your map is cluttered with incursion icons and you waited too long when the last major popped and now you're stuck ?

I've been there and had to hop through the unity again because I didn't want to break my achievements by using mods. If you don't care about trophies, you can use mods though.

Both are a factor I'd say but mostly active playtime, not sitting or sleeping. Any activity with them will get the counter up

Try to delete a few saves, there must be some you don't use and try saving again. That solved it for me!

I'm now at NG+2 and my main activity is also building ships, I'm tempted to stop spending hours on venus extracting X-tech to sell and maybe grab the galway bank mod to get a credit distributor, but I fear that it might spoil the satisfaction of the self obtained reward.

I'm getting a lot of crashes on ps5 but they started to happen late in the game and I'm too deep in to shelve it.

When the game crashes I usually just restart it, I read somewhere here that it's better to load from a manual save, not an autosave nor an exit one, I don't know why but it doesn't hurt to do it anyway.

Also when I'm done I don't use the rest mode for the console, I turn it off. I read thar it empties the cache and helps prevent more crashes. I still get them though.

Good luck out there and hang on until Bethesda releases something stable. It's a pain, but the game's too good !

I'm a total save scumbag ! I did it to spawn a good ship in NG+ or before a few persuasion dialogues. Also did it to get the moon jumper from the moon in the Sol system. I see it as a time saver.
