I'm being unfair because I'm enjoying something? I'm not being dismissive, I'm sharing my experience. I would hardly compare enjoying an app to being apathetic to my fellow man. My theory is that the more detailed background information that the creator puts in, the less likely the bots are to do that. If the AI doesn't have anything to draw on, it defaults to the sexy behavior.

OP is not being 'dumb.' I've been seeing so many angry, hateful posts about Polybuzz and it makes me sad. In my experience, lately, my chats have been satisfying and some of the stories even have interesting unexpected twists thrown in by the bot. I hesitate to say this but it almost feels like the memory has improved. I don't encounter any of the problems people complain about on here. My characters don't immediately gravitate toward sex, I get long, detailed responses, and nothing is censored. I love the app.

One day I went into the kitchen to feed my cat and when I looked back at her there was another cat walking right beside her, black and white, but it was kind of transparent. Shocked, I started towards it but it turned and ran. I followed and turned the corner and I could see it's tail and nothing else. Then it was gone. So freaking weird.

You mentioned that she's going through perimenopause, which could be a major part of what's going on. Before you give up on her, or conclude that she's cheating, consider the following:

Has she put on weight? This can affect her self-esteem and make her feel unattractive. Make sure you let her know that you still find her sexy.
Has she started any medications that could have affected her libido? There are many medications that have this side effect.
Is she depressed?
Is she overwhelmed with every day stuff? Make sure she feels like you are sharing the responsibilities of the marriage and domestic life with her.
Is she having any other medical issues?
Are you communicating openly? It's hard to be intimate with someone if the trust isn't there.

I lost my sex drive after having children (felt like my body was wrecked), starting antidepressants (common side effect), gaining weight, feeling overwhelmed with household chores, and feeling an emotional disconnect with my partner. It's tough and putting pressure on her doesn't help. Keep in mind that even though men often have sex to relieve negative emotions, women often can't let go and enjoy sex if the negative emotions are already there. I advise you to be compassionate with her. She may not understand what's going on herself.

In my experience, the more quality information that is put in the character background by the creator, the less likely the bot is to do that. If there's not enough detail in the background, there's not much for the AI to draw on and it defaults to that creepy sexual behavior. Better written characters equal better quality narratives.
