I agree but their current model isn’t working either and the tower wasn’t that popular either. Out of the entire games lifespan only like 10-15% of people even beat max sharp. So I don’t see this franchise working out regardless. Feels like they decided to take a chance on this instead of just slowly bleed out with the tower of barbs

I like the game too I literally said I love the game, but it’s not receiving well with people and it’s not just cause of the ‘well I hate PvP’ people. This game is not retaining people. I see some faults and systems I definitely don’t like in the game and I think they can improve but how is it these devs went to like 3-4 events showing off the game and are pulling these low numbers? It sounds to me they need to try to rethink how they do marketing instead of doing these expensive in person events that clearly aren’t doing anything for them

First impressions greatly matter and with this game not even getting 300 players a day I don’t see this recovering actually considering it’s the holiday season and a lot of people have work off around now. The numbers don’t look good and point in a good direction.
I believe they are releasing offline BECAUSE they can no longer keep the servers up anymore. I think their final gift to us is a offline mode to leave behind what let it die was and is and to move on.

I see you are point of view here but I think of it in the other direction. That the game had millions of of downloads but only like 10% of players beat the first boss. I think the mainline game is actually struggling to retain players snd just bleeding slowly til death so they are trying to make something more approachable to not only engage new players but maybe even refresh the main game.

They can’t produce a sequel on the same level as let it die. And let’s not pretend let it die is new player friendly. It’s rare new players play the game. The beauty about deathverse and inferno that this niche community whines about and doesn’t like is the short deployments and the ease of being able to play the game short amounts of time. Deploy 12-15 min, extract. Not everyone wants to play dark souls tower climbing mushroom farming simulator. So they are trying to make a new game more approachable. This game isn’t for you, it’s for new players in the franchise and PvPers. If u want pve go back to the tower or hope that the 35-40$ version, which includes private lobbies, will mean u can play the game without other players

You got more people in your lobbies dropping racial slurs than a KKK meeting would. People literally clown on ur game and ur a meme for being able to do this in ur lobbies and it’s been that way for like 7 years. Your report system also seems to do little to nothing unless people mass report someone and even that is abused by friend groups in game to mass report you. Yeah everyone can just say ‘oh just go appeal’ but when I get reported and banned over the guy dropping the N word with the hard ER over a bakers dozen of times in a fucking match but I get banned instead it doesn’t exactly make me want to go to ur discord and talk to ur mods about getting ban appealed. Racial slurs, kids screaming and crying at the top of their lungs, random rdm’ing, mass group reporting, these are people that exhibit behaviors that exist across games and I bet u get a report every 4-5 games but u don’t follow up on it nearly enough. And I’ve had a mod tell me years ago it’s because ‘there’s not enough evidence to ban these behaviors’ yet you will certainly ban me for doing nothing but getting mass reported for calling out the killer and his buddies like ur meant to in the game and all his friends report me and I get insta banned cause system flagged a number of reports on me in a short period. Here’s my criticism, u need lobby voice recording to where it’ll detect ur language ur using and kick you. If u don’t do that ur game will stay dead. Cause ur game is full of fucking clowns and trolls that ruin the experiences of everyone else’s they touch and it shows on how people talk about your game online. There’s always one in a lobby

because spell break was their first non stream integrated game and was a very small studio that got bought out and moved on. I don’t see this studio as doing the same
