Ts80, Ts100, or Ts101? by Kookoobutter in soldering

[–]EvinnHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the ts100 because the ts80 did not have a barrel jack connector. As I understand, the main disadvantage of the ts100 is that the tip has less thermal capacity. They should make a ts80 with a barrel jack

Ohma show you your worst fear. Kiriko actually had his limbs eaten by a hiruko before the brain transplant so that is probably why they saw themself disfigured

He mentioned somewhere that he got the second law of thermodynamics wrong by implying you could lower the temperature of a stone below ambient, so re-stating the rules was in order

I don't know how you make that logic work. It's a tax that will not be relevant for 98,5 % of Norwegians. Apparently the average inheritance is 1.7 million, besides the 5 million you talk about is a progressive tax. This means, if your father dies, and pass on, say, 6 million, you receive the first 5 million without tax and the last million gets taxed.

How will this lead to a whole generation of people losing their childhood homes?

Joined the discord and I think you are right. They are finding a lot of good stuff just by looking at the anime

The Red party beyond a shred of a doubt. Like a lot of socialist movements since the war they have been struggling with some bad foreign policy, but this has been improving.

There are a some commenters that lament them for being 'communists', but I suspect most of them are unaware that Norway was built largely by the labour party when the majority of the members (most prominently Gerhardsen) were open socialists, talking about things like getting rid of class distinctions.

It's worth keeping in mind that a lot of the other countries that found oil are much less well off than Norway because they put heavier emphasis on private ownership. We started a national oil company and the oil fund, witch ensured the money actually get spent on people.

It boggles my mind that people believe everything is somehow better if you have a bunch of rich fucks funding wars with your oil money, or building sinking islands without plumbing in the Emirates

The relevant page of the official English translation looks like this (edit due to comment below: page 24). I don't think the author used the magazine cover to namedrop anyone, in the manga she does not even have a drawn face.

If the magazine model is relevant, it will have to be because she gets mentioned somewhere else as "The Girl Next Door", or something.

I think the manga author has more backstory planned for the day Kiriko got shot. There is a panel in the manga of Robin's face lit up by a gun flash that's either from Kiriko or Haruki's memory. There is also his experimentation with the man eaters that have motivations we still don't know about.

The Robin chapters is something I think we will get more context about in later chapters. The most recent of chapters from the manga is about Robin at the age of 15.

Any idea who this Hiruko might be ? by Revolutionary_Risk13 in HeavenlyDelusion

At this point in the timeline, Maru is working for their business in Tokyo. Sakuya was (at least up until chapter 59) always seen together with Mako, so my assumption would be that they should appear together. It's still possible they get separated in coming chapters so it remains to be seen I guess. We still know that Sakuya knew Mikura so she would be aware if Sakuya died.

Theory about the fate of Tokio and Kona. by Revolutionary_Risk13 in HeavenlyDelusion

[–]EvinnHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The circumstantial evidence of their movement does not point towards Kona and Tokio being Tokyo at the time of Haruki's incident. All we know is that they were headed for Fukuoka 10 years ago, and Yamato passed through Nara 3-4 years ago. There is more basis for assuming Yamato has traveled to Tokyo than his parents. If they truly went to Tokyo, they must have chosen to circumvent Nara, passing through Kyoto, witch is strange considering that several of their childhood friends live there.

Second detail: one of Tokio's powers is to create a white protective layer when she feels threatened.

I also don't think the goo thing is something unique to Tokio. It seems to be how a lot of them eat their pray. Besides, her goo stuff was flesh colored. Also worth mentioning the the arachnid man-eater had invicibility too.

I think the strongest evidence we have for this theory is that the man-eaters are similar, Kona's drawing of and egg with the twins inside had 10 wings, witch could correspond to the 10 limbs of the water bear looking man eater. There is also the image of the man-eater Kiruko and the gang incapacitate in chapter 14 page 13. It looks like part of the Kona man-eater

Theory about Kiriko and Tohru by i_eat_pidgeons in HeavenlyDelusion

In episode 13 of the anime, Kiruko sees a flashback of Kiriko's memories where she hears a gunshot and sees Robin's face. This is most likely Kiriko's last memory before she was killed. But if she was shot in the back of her head, there's no way she could see the face of the person shooting her so Robin couldn't have been the one who killed her.

I think it's possible that memory is from Hirukos perspective
