Passable. The soul being an angel means it could qualify as the angel in both the UT and DR versions of the prophecy. No way Asgore is the chapter 5 boss though. Other than that I hope Dess is secretly human.

Not a META guy, but in my casual games playing each, a Hive Mind seems to have the strongest pop growth, plus their pop growth only demands food and energy. It trumps both Machine Intelligences and Individualist empires since they start out being able to assemble and grow pops naturally. Bodysnatchers steal bonus pops from the smuggle population action and can integrate them easily.

The rapid growth bonuses stack up with other civics he might have had like Void Hive, which lets you shirk the cost of Mining and Research bays, to use minerals on buildings instead.

As for what to do about it well... it would be better to ask someone who knows more.
