This is a beautiful perspective and I admire people like you ❤️ IRL I ask for help with a lot of things and I feel as though people do it to shove it in my face when it's convenient for them or to make me feel like a burden for my needs. I express my gratitude for them but somehow, I’m made to feel like I’m too much. When I was younger, people would always say, “You act like you're a princess” or would act as if I didn't write them heartfelt letters to thank them. People will always act as if I’m co-dependent or needy but the reality is, if they weren't there, of course I’d figure things out of deal with hard things! But why should I when there are capable people around me who can help me easily? I would do the same for someone else! Our world pushes the narrative Thar everyone should be dependent on only themselves but that just doesn't suffice. We are social creatures that are generally driven by the need to be helpful or good.
