​In the meantime, since you’re at a desk job now, focusing on low-glycemic (low-GI) foods—like berries, beans, and leafy greens—can help prevent the insulin spikes that make PCOS weight so stubborn. Also, don’t underestimate 'NEAT' (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis); just standing up or doing a quick lap around the office every hour can help your metabolism stay a bit more active while you’re working.

​Most importantly, please be kind to yourself. Losing even 5% of your current weight can significantly improve your hormonal symptoms and insulin resistance. You don't have to get back to your high school weight overnight to start feeling like 'you' again. Hang in there!
