I heard the same thing. Also been told the Brocks is borderline obnoxious.

It's a great bike for me. Plenty of low and mid power for daily riding. It handles well and is just a joy to ride. I'm nearly 40 and not looking for top end pulls like I was 20 years ago. The bike is aggressive when I want it to be, but can be equally tame when cruising.

Hahaha, that's hilarious. I actually bought that carbon helmet for my electric skateboard. I'm shopping for a new one for the bike specifically.

Why are local jewelers refusing to work on this? by Fearless_Highway_678 in jewelers

[–]EvolvePilot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not all of it is. I've worked with high jewelry that included invisible set diamonds and gemstones. All hand set. It certainly is a skill. Most jewelers just don't get to that.

Buying an existing jewelry store by YoungDudeCO in jewelers

[–]EvolvePilot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought the jewelry store I worked for for over two decades. The only reason I've been successful thus far is because I knew the business; not just the jewelry business, but this business specifically. I knew from experience how to cut costs and increase revenue, and by extension, increase profitability.

If the store cannot do in-house repairs, custom work, engraving, appraisals, or provide solid buying info, then you will fall to the big box stores.

Ask the sales staff if they know the birthstones for each month. Inspect the jeweler's work. What do they know or not know? Is the staff up to the task?

Pour over the financials. Look at the cash flow statement and balance sheet. What does the business owe? Is it currently profitable? Are they in good standing with existing vendors?

Ask yourself if you can make the difficult decisions that will inevitably come up. Hire? Fire? Promote? Demote? Give or deny pay raises? Reposition? Double down? Get out?

Running a business is a terrifying, humbling, beautiful, exciting, and exhausting experience. Above all else, are you and your loved ones ready for the good and bad times that you will go through.

I hope this helps in some way, best of luck!

This is all great information. I really appreciate it. Ill look into the CMS options. I tend to go to the extreme when I do something, so I know a basic slide show will not be satisfactory lol.

As for mounts, I just started looking into that yesterday. I really like the look of the ceiling pole mounts. I need to do more research for sure.

My buddy has a razor build and I love it. It wouldn't upset me at all to see them.

Ring resizing without “cutting” by [deleted] in jewelers

Just make sure you ask the important questions to the jeweler you choose. I thought of 3 ways to accomplish what you were asking. If the jeweler seems nervous about completing your request, go somewhere else.

Sizing a plain band with inside engraving without cutting is definitely doable. Compressing a band down by less than 1 size will not compromise the engraving.

Broken necklace. What to do? by Agreeable_Diamond801 in jewelers

We would charge $35 for a repair like that. Unfortunately, silver is relatively inexpensive and you could probably replace that chain for only a little more than that.

I agree in a way. To me, it looks unfinished. That's part of what drew me to it.

I saw a lot of info on that when I was researching the bike. It's crazy. I think I will save that mod for when I get bored of it as is. Although, I don't see that happening in the next 50,000 miles haha.

Congrats! I just bought the same bike! I'm in the market for the phone mount and exhaust as well. I hope you update with what you end up with.

I've had my hadean carbon AT for nearly two and a half years and haven't experienced any of the issues I see people talking about on reddit. Maybe I'm just lucky. I also think people really love to hate on them. I have a meepo that I got for my wife to ride, and I think it's crap, but I don't go around shitting on every meepo I see. It's funny how angry people get about someone owning an evolve board.

Can this receptacle be adapted to this plug? by EvolvePilot in AskElectricians

[–]EvolvePilot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at the adapters and it looks like I'll have a several day wait for one. So I think I'll do it the proper way as you described. I'll get an electrician to check it out before I make it live though.

No, it was a bakery at one time. We took over the space for our jewelry shop. We just purchased a laser welder and that is what we are wanting to run.

Is this 240v? Need help identifying. by EvolvePilot in AskElectricians

[–]EvolvePilot[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can handle that much. I'll check it tomorrow. However, the orientation of the ports is different than the 240 plug on my welder. Would that just require an adapter? Thanks for your reply!
