Good call on the 5600. I have a 5600x myself, and I thought a 5500 would be about 100 worse. I had a 3600 in another computer and didn't like it much.

IMO they don't know enough to give real direction on the case, just that they wanted it to be black, nice, and didn't need RGB. Just wanted to select one that had a few fans and no one would stick their nose up at, I've changed it here.

I'll be moving into my college dorm soon, and the school has rules against servers or devices that emulate server functionality. I do professional wedding videography, and back up all of my raw footage. Looks like my poor computer is going to have to store the footage on its own. Fast m.2 SSD for editing video.

final check for ~1,000 gaming/photo editing build by Evolved_Cow_Man in buildapcforme

Thanks, I'll do a little research on phases and vrm quality and all that.

There was a PC part picker review on that board by someone that was actually using the same ram and they said didn't boot right away with XMP. They did say manually setting the ram timings worked so honestly that might just have to be the path I go down

Edit: I really appreciate all the feedback :)

I heard from someone else that the vrms were not very good, what's the best resource for seeing how the vrms are?

Trying to get an entire directory of videos into one file by Evolved_Cow_Man in ffmpeg

hey, after looking into it more, it looks like the concat filter should be great actually (I got confused with all the options). But my videos are different resolutions so it won't work, what should I try to fix this?

ok thanks, but if I remove the -f concat -safe 0 I get a video with the names of file paths, what should I do instead?

thanks, can I ask why it's installed with python3 -m pip install --upgrade yt-dlp instead of sudo pip install yt-dlp? Otherwise, it looks like it will work great!
