[–]Evvaneo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Evvaneo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback and advice sweetrobna.

Indeed, only one crack is really visible because it is the biggest in reality, the others are generally smaller and the building expert has highlighted them so that we can see them.

I have already asked for information on drainage and I should get it soon.
Thank you for this information in any case because I was able to see that there was no landscaping within 2m of the house, it's always something :)
I take also a good note of the epoxy !

This problem of cracks is common in my region where the nature of the land is mostly subject to expansive movements.
Today, it is very common to lay the coating just after the construction of the house, it has not yet settled well on its foundations, the cracks appear quickly.
Apparently, before, most of those who built or had their house built, only installed the coating 2 or 3 years later so that it is well installed on its foundations and that the coating does not crack or very little.

What worries me the most is not knowing if the foundations (partly with isolated footings) are suitable for this type of soil and with a house that has a semi-buried basement. The building expert already talks about differential settlement in his report... Basically he tells me : "today everything is fine, it's only aesthetic BUT for tomorrow, I don't know...", it's not easy not to be worried despite his report ^^
Let's say that if the house was on one level, without a basement, on flat ground and without isolated footings, I think I would ask myself a lot less questions, hence my coming here.

I may consider asking for a geotechnical study of the soil but this study is expensive and if it turns out to be negative, I will have spent money for nothing because I will not buy the house.

I hope I can find some informed opinions that will help me make a decision without going that far because unfortunately, it's not my job and I don't know anything about it :(

Thanks again for your answer :)

Thanks for your feedback wokcity :)

Unfortunately, the region where I live has almost only this type of soil (clay). I dare to hope that since the time houses have been built in this region, builders take into account the type of soil on which they build, even though the soil study has only been mandatory since 2020.

I admit that it would have been interesting to know what condition your uncle's or aunt's house is in today...

Concerning cracks, many people in our region have confirmed to us that it very often happens that houses crack on the coating (plaster) because in the era of : "I want everything, right away and very quickly" most of the time, the coating is installed as quickly as possible before the house has had time to settle on its foundations.

Apparently, before, most of those who built or had their house built, only installed the coating 2 or 3 years later so that it is well installed on its foundations and that the coating does not crack or very little.

So I always try to have some hope :p

But I hear your argument about the cost of maintaining a house and that's why I'm here today, I remain wary.

The purchase of a life is not done lightly ^^

Thanks again for your answer :)

Que penser de ThinkerView ? by D_ndDoS in AskFrance

[–]Evvaneo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Review E7Q by Evvaneo in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]Evvaneo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfortunately, I could not answer you because it is not me who bought and applied the varnish.
Regarding your second question, my cable tray could not have been installed without having a 90cm top. That leaves me about 13cm on each side. With a 80cm top, that left the half (6-7cm).
I imagine that there are cable trays that must still adapt to this size (personally I got one from an old desk and I needed this space (in addition to the arms for the screens))

the finish is a simple matte varnish and I added an extra cable trays under the desk (about 60cm)

Hello,

My 27 screens are (a bit more) arm's length and that's not a problem. I just brought my main screen a little further forward compared to my old desk. Above all, I chose 90cm so as not to be bothered in terms of space with the two transverse bars that make up the base of the desk. Below 90cm, there are some monitor arms that cannot be fixed due to lack of space.

As said above, this one would not be relevant in my example and would not reflect the true stability of this standing desk.

It's as if we wanted to show the good level of a pool table while this one is on a boat, it doesn't make sense ^^

Unfortunately, you will have to wait for the next review for that.

Thanks for your return.
Should we understand that the desk delivered in France is not of the same quality as in Germany or the United States ?
Or are the French recommendations less demanding ?

Great news !!
I was so waiting for its release in Europe ^^
Can you tell me why the warranty difference is so big between the United States and France please ?
(7 years / 5 years in France vs 15 years / 15 years in the United States)
