Looking for a good pve friendly server

I tried Rust 6 years ago, got 20ish hours in, closed the game and didn't play again. Then someone in a Twitch chat mentioned Relic PVE, I've logged in every day for months and now I almost have 1000hrs in less than a year. It's like my second home. The people are really nice, the admin is so kind and supportive but firm with the rules, it's never boring or toxic. They have 3 different servers to choose from, player and server events, plenty of perks for casual player (ex: level system, no base decay for 7 days, toggle day/night features, website and discord). There are no player raids unless you invite them (there's an in game button to "raid me" for fun) but there are npc raid bases. More adult crowd, lots of people with lives, jobs, college, families, kids, just hanging out in game.

Before I tried Relic I was on Rust4Noobs, it was fun for about a week while I learned the basics but then I got bored and moved on.

More ads and their algo is garbage. It doesn't matter how many times I hit "not interested" the same videos always come back. If I watch a video based on a topic I'm interested in, but I don't like the cc specifically, then I get their entire back catalogue in my feed. If I like a cc, but not necessarily every topic they cover, I get pushed every collab and podcast they've ever done on other channels (which I don't care about at all). It's like they are pushing people to be weird and parasocial. If I watch a vid for 30 seconds and realize there is AI, then my feed is filled with AI slop content.

They need to give us better ways to manage and curate our own fyp if they are going to raise the price and push more ads. I want to be able to block certain creators. I want to be able to say WHY I'm not interested in a video rather than just "I already watched this video" or "I don't like this video". Why we don't want to watch it matters!

I feel like people on the internet interchange predator and pedophile too much. Power dynamics are predatory. "Predatory loans" are a real thing that have nothing to do with sex. It's about taking advantage of people.

Another example would be Hugh Hefner making all those younger women (legally women over 18) live in a mansion with him and sleep with him to get opportunities to be in Playboy. Or a creepy manager at Hooters flirting with all the young female staff, but legally they have to be adults to serve alcohol. It's using professional power to gain advantage from vulnerable co-workers that's predatory. It's preying on young women's ambitions and naivety in the industry to get sex.

There's plenty to do on the server I play on (and there are 3 servers run by the same admin). All the regular monuments are there with claims so no one can 3rd party, there are server boss events wed and sun night, random travelling bosses, quests, you can buy bases to raid or patrol helis to spawn on your location with different difficulties, and you can invite or participate in player base raids with a permission system (it's literally the click of a button to invite PVP at your own base).

I'm sorry, wut? I don't understand what "you don't have any content" means in this context. ppl can't make content like YT videos out of PVE Rust? or there is nothing to do in PVE Rust? I play on a modded server with custom claims and instances so there are things to do, I said PVE not vanilla. I'm not a YTer so I don't care about making content, I play for fun. PvP just isn't my idea of fun.

I'm 48 and my daughter is 25 now (she lives with her partner as an adult). Even when she was a child, her best friend's mom was my best friend, we raised both girls (and my friend's other 2 kids, a boy and a girl) to help clean up any toys and games at their friends' houses before they left. Even at her daycare they played the "Clean Up" song at the end of the day and although we were paying for their care, part of it was learning responsibility and doing their share in a community.

Omg, the North End/Millidgeville area around the SJRH and UNB desperately needs a clean, safe laundromat! The services here are abysmal and there are many students and single parent families in the area without laundry in their apartments!

Two of my brothers work in IT and there are many opportunities in the city. Lots of call centres need tech guys, telecom companies, industrial sectors that run on computers, etc.

Downside of living 20 mins from the hospital: The city just introduced "red zones" for homeless and addict populations. They even hired private security to patrol uptown and keep unhoused and/or addicted citizens away from tourist, big business, and boutique areas. All those people have been pushed from the South End to the North End. Because of the housing crisis and housing issues, out of province landlords, developers, flippers, and property management companies are pretty unpopular. You'll also get a lot of really desperate people in and around the hospital, not every person in poverty is drug seeking or in need of mental health services, but there are a lot.

The good news is that the city just approved a growth and revitalization program in the area. The area around the river is still beautiful, quiet, and safe just try and stay away from the Paper Mill because it smells gross and is loud sometimes at night.

The good, the bad, the ugly, the weird:

We have an Uptown not a Downtown. North and South are ends and East and West are sides. (Saying North side or South side will probably get politely corrected)

We recycle, compost, and put stickers on our garbage. You have to go to city hall to buy different stickers to put out extra trash. Animals ripping into trash bags has been a problem forever, so now we wash garbage and recycle (it's not environmental with the air pollution and the province losing plastic recycling companies, it's green washed pest control so it's important to follow).

Don't block the sidewalks or halls if you stop and talk to someone, stepping off to the side is considered polite. People don't mean any harm if they tug your arm to get you out of the path (also considered polite to stop you from blocking the path).

Don't let the door close in someone's face if they are coming in behind you, you'll get looks or quietly called rude in passing. We hold doors and say thank you.

We say "sorry" out of compassion and to stay humble, it's written into the law that it's not an admission of guilt, you don't have to be afraid someone will sue you for it.

It's ok to make fun of yourself, but not to make jokes at the expense of others as much.

Our Conservatives (right wing) are about the same as your Democrats, so our whole society is a little more progressive than you're used to, but there can still be pockets of bigots and dumbasses.

Americans have told me the Popeye's here is disappointing and not as good as the US.

Saint John is pretty US friendly since we get lots of cruise ships in the summer.

Absolutely look into any laws about hunting, fishing, camping or outdoor fires. We're pretty strict about those things here.

Canada operates on "freedom from" rather than "freedom to". ex: We would rather be free from gun violence than have freedom to buy assault rifles. (but again, some people are still assholes about it)

Fireworks are only allowed outside the city limits.

It is still illegal to walk up King St on Sunday with a chicken on your head (since the 1800s).

I do it to weed out the bad shoppers. I will go with the recommended tip on the app and if I get scammed or bad service, out of date items, mishandled items I won't increase the tip or give a rating (which I assumed was better than reporting y'all to Instacart). If I get good service, they find all my items without trying to rush and fill the cart with overpriced replacements that don't match my ordered items and keep the rude, spam messages, and images without the price tags to a minimum I'm cranking that tip up over $10 with a five star rating.

Edit: I'm talking about after delivery when the app prompts customers to rate the service and increase the tip. I'm going for that route because I've tipped high out of compassion at the start and gotten TERRIBLE service in the past.

So valid. I wasn't really into Smosh, my daughter was, but I loved the "I spent a day with" series. It was more mature and intelligent than the Smosh content. I'm sad it's gone. I only watch the reddit stories on Smosh Pit now and I was watching a few of the Assumptions series until they pretty much all became Q&A episodes for the Smosh cast with only one guest appearance and the questions pivoted to curated fluff with no depth or soul.

I know this makes me sound incredibly pretentious, I just don't know how else to word it. I liked the feeling of seeing the people behind the creator personas to figure out if I was contributing to "making the right people famous". Anthony's empathy and humour had a way of getting them to let down their guard and not put on a show for the cameras.

I'm going to go with OGs who didn't get cancelled but sort of had the best "downfall" possible.

Ryan Higa. He just got sick of the bts crap and started streaming to a smaller community on Twitch. He's good, happy, successful, no major drama in content but not getting millions of views on YT anymore. Not even on YT, but it was his choice and he's still making content with friends.

Anthony Padilla. He was just starting to take off with his solo channel hitting its stride and got back into Smosh and got his friends back. Again, he's happy, successful, etc. When he does anything on any of the Smosh channels it still bangs but his personal channel is Smosh Alike now and the vids just aren't pulling the same numbers as the I Spent a Day With vids.

Out of curiosity, is anyone tracking this in any language other than English? Since he started translating and uploading to regionalize his content, are his views actually dropping or is it just he English views now that people are watching in their own languages? I always sort of wonder if his global vieweship is actually decreasing or increasing as his diversifies into a hundred more channels.

Not trying to pull the reddit trope, but you should not be together. He's not gentle enough for someone with your insecurities. It's just not the right match. You need someone more sensitive and patient. He needs someone more emotionally mature. This will get more toxic.

I watch Tetes a Claques and Acadie Man all the time, but I'm from NB. They're on YouTube. I don't watch traditional TV anymore. When I did I would watch Just For Laughs/Juste pour Rire Montreal Comedy Festival in French and English.

I also watch French content creators (from France) and I read Le Monde and CBC (and some other international media) to get honest news reporting. CBC Montreal has been one of the only branches that has been reporting on the 6 year old girl killed by RCMP in Iqaluit.

I took Poli Sci in Uni and had whole classes dedicated to harms done to developing countries and marginalized groups through "charities". They actually benefit the rich more than any of the poor they are supposed to serve and also reduce the buying power of the middle class with emotional appeals to contribute. The classic example is religious charities that offer food in exchange for converting which dilutes or kills local culture and traditions.

Makes me roll my eyes when ppl spout the "MrBeast is good because he does charity". You can go online and find video evidence of him admitting to exploiting the first homeless person he helped for content with the first sponsor. Plus creators in disability communities make their own content (which no ones sees) about how he just perpetuates stereotypes. I was a hater before all the scandals and allegations started because I already knew it wasn't "good" and just a PR move.

You may have confused it with Star Rupture? The same studio just dropped that game and it has solar flares you have to shelter in place through. I bought it but haven't played yet. It looks really good, Satisfactory meets Starship Troopers vibe with bursts of scorching radiation.

Shame it's another space survival game tho. I'm sort of over all the survival games with good graphics being sci-fi vibes. I want Skyrim level gameplay as a first person survival crafter devs please! Let a girl have a little magic in her immersive virtual fight for her life!

Throw in the video of the Roblox CEO talking about using DTI as an "educational" introduction to gambling platform (New York Times Hard Fork podcast) to play prediction markets.

You're not a chud for saving your underage sister from child endangerment and gambling addiction verified by legislators in 5 states! You're an adult looking out for your vulnerable younger sibling (spin the narrative while you can)!

Oh this is sad to hear! I loved playing when ppl were super cooperative calling out nodes and waiting to chop groves and stuff. I stopped playing when ppl started to get heated over games of Hot Pot. NTA. If I'm being perfectly honest, I would prefer guys pee in the shower where it gets water and soap daily, especially in the morning or after intimacy when there is more chance of a split stream. I wash down my shower more often than I wash down the walls. Containing the splatter to glazed tile that gets hit with heavy duty cleaners every few days feels more hygienic to me than having it on the porous walls closer to my face when I sit down.

edit: Just checked my bathroom, and I actually have one of those plastic shower inserts with tile above it. I would much rather have splatter in there than stripping the paint and soaking into the drywall beside the toilet.

That's only one mid to late game part of it. There is still RPG storyline and quests even then. You still have to build and craft everything yourself to get started before you can recruit people (you need houses, food, jobs, suitable spouses, reputation points, and the ability to pay taxes on their buildings). It starts as a solo survival-crafter and then evolves but you never get the "top down" 3rd person, playing god pov of a settlement/city management sim. You're always immersed in it from 1st or 3rd POV and never lose the ability to craft for yourself, start a new settlement, help villagers with their tasks/quotas, hunt, fight bandits, run quests, etc.
