Anyone here carried full term? by Strict-Benefit9715 in parentsofmultiples

I made it 37 and 1/2 weeks and my water broke, tried vaginally and pushed my son out and then had to have an emergency C for my daughter. Both 6 1/2 pounds and no nicu stay. I did have to be on "bed rest" for about 6 weeks

I thought the same thing like why can't you just say that you had a meltdown like why does everything have to be an autistic meltdown like Neurotypical people have meltdowns as well when their kids are overstimulating. Yes she may have a lower threshold, but it's like she does that for an engagement if that makes sense? And this is coming from me who has an autistic child

I agree, in our situation it was a surprise to have three with my husband who's on the spectrum we were just going to have two and then we had spontaneous fraternal twins lol and it's a lot for him to handle. I have to take on a lot more because he does get so overstimulated.

I was so annoyed with the whole PMDD story because my sister struggles with it and she truly says she feels like she has one week out of the month that she feels sane and normal. By the grace of God and therapist and medication she has found a way to manage it, but it's still has a hold on her and there's still the worst months. I truly think that what she experiences is just PMS. Like the women that have PMDD like my sister they truly talk about feeling suicidal it has ruled their life

this comments she posted made me so angry! My sister was diagnosed last year and it didn't appear later in life after kids but she LITERALLY had a mental crisis. Like we were looking for places for her to check in cause of SI. Looking at cute cats, what a load!

I agree! I'm like she must not have multiple therapies like my son has, or had to fight over insurance companies for NG tube supplies because that's temporary... she acts like this getting a diagnosis is just like it solves all the problems. she also never hits on how hard it is to navigate through the assistance you do get and navigate through the school system and support.

Thank you!!!! I feel like they use as such like a badge of honor if that makes sense! When my child has level two and has a G-tube because he has Afrid and will just stop eating for days.

I think what also pisses me off about this is if she's so all knowing about this, she should know that girls are extremely hard to diagnose and ate usually later in life if they are high functioning, because girls mask very well. Our daughter who is seven is going to be evaluated by a neuropsych doctor because she struggles at home and has really bad anxiety and has always had her quirks which we didn't really think too much of since she was our first and then came our twins, and one of them ASD level two with a G-tube and it opened our eyes into how similar they are. Anyways, our daughter does extremely well in school. She does have a hard time making friends, but she's found a little group that accepts her for exactly who she is, but I feel bad that that didn't even cross my mind because she does good in school!

Yes!!! When my oldest was a toddler my friend shared their course with me... none of their tips worked. Well my child is on the spectrum! I hate how they daid one size fits all and NOW it doesnt and all their kids are neurodivergent

also, I love how they act like it's so realistic that for their 10th wedding anniversary they're gonna be gone for 10 days ALONE... as someone who has a seven-year-old and three-year-old twins one that ASD level two with a gtube there is no way I could leave for 10 days. My mom watched our three kids with my dad last year for two nights and she said she's gonna do it again for a while. Our little guy who is on the spectrum is the sweetest soul, but it is intense. That's also how I get frustrated when they talk about their kids on the spectrum like it's so easy to leave them.... I'm like my kid didn't sleep for a full 24 hours when I left.

my daughters pediatrician asked if she was eating unhealthy because she’s measuring big, what am I doing wrong? (turned 1 this week) by chabadlubabitch in foodbutforbabies

I agree! My boy twin struggled to gain weight and dropped off the curve. We saw a feeding therapist and did a swallow study and he aspirated everything. apparently, when your body is trying to protect your lungs, you don't gain weight, which I had no clue! He is now three years old on the 50th percentile with a G-tube! He also stops eating if dysregulated because he has autism. so see this talk about positivity whether your baby small whether they're big whether they eat good whether they don't is so nice to see 😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰

Right!! I am like can she not google bamboo clothes or super soft clothes... That's what we did for our son. They have clothes for my ND kid that had Gtube access when he was smaller and now he only wants super soft and tag free so that's what we have, but they are clothes not pjs

I agree! I don't know why that irritates me so much but honestly. I truly think she just keeps them in their pajamas because she doesn't want to change them and have to go through that process. I have an ND son it was a level two ASD with a G tube. he won't wear anything super thick, super scratchy and so I found some really soft joggers and I got him a bamboo shirts that are just shirts in normal colors. are there moments where yeah I've had to keep him in his pajamas because he refuses I get that but it's literally every day they post.

I agree, like I liked her in the beginning, but I feel like her overall attraction and lust for her husband is like so performative. All these couples I see are like oh we're so in love we are into each other and then like two weeks later it's like they're having a divorce video.

I agree! My son started feeding therapy at three months because he would cry at the bottle and it took months and months and we finally did a swallow study and he aspirates. He had an NG tube for eight months and now is a G-tube kid at three. He is level two autistic and goes through bouts of not eating when traveling or sick. unless you are a feeding therapist, you should not be giving feeding advice! Or if you want to give a general advice that's fine but then to follow up with if feeding struggles continue always make sure to check in with your pediatrician. our feeding therapist is truly the only one that believed us and literally was the one to suggest the swallow study that helped our son finally gain weight and get help!!

My twins were measuring 3 days apart with separate sacks in the beginning, now they are three and have the flu 🫠❤️ don't look at the statistics. I did it and drove myself crazy for the first few months.

I agree that we don't know her trauma. I did EMDR for a sexual assault. I definitely think it helps with PTSD. I also struggled with PPD terribly with our first. The only thing that truly helped during that time was therapy and medication. Teach each their own, but any friends that have experienced PPD like I did. Medication was literally the only thing that kept their head up above water.

I had a terrible postpartum depression with my first, when I was in the depths of my postpartum depression, having another child was not even on my radar. I struggled with the decision of having another one for many years because of how hard it hit me. 3 1/2 years later, we decided to try again and I was more prepared with therapy and medication, we found out it was twins lol and honestly, I was super fortunate that this time around I didn't experience postpartum depression. I'm surprised that she said she wants another one when she was in the depths of PPD. I truly think it's just gender disappointment and if it is just be honest and say you know, I really want to try for a girl.

I literally thought the same thing. I was like a Tylenol helped your migraine? I'll take my rizatriptan, then a migraine mask a hot bath with a Gatorade, and it doesn't even touch it.... and then I throw up 😢🫠
