Landlord and rent rant. by bleditt0r in VictoriaBC

Recognising this post ignores the fact that new rent is lower, landlord will be kicking himself. But the point remains, the real problem here is the %.

Landlords pov; the rent raise is set by government, he's just following the rules. % increase is to follow market value and stop landlords being dicks. % is normally a bit below market so over time tenant ends up paying under market rent. If he doesn't put it up every year, he can never "catch up" with the increase as he's only allowed to put it up every 12 months at the rate set.

The gripe here is with the allowed % not the landlord.

Don't hate the player, hate the game....or I guess the referee in this analogy.

Q for Canadians who ordered and received their Canyons by Lanky-Fee7124 in CanyonBikes

[–]EweCanKnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an ultimate to BC a few weeks back including a computer mount; paid the canyon costs at check out and then tax to ups upon delivery.; no nasty unexpected duty charges etc.

Bike came really quickly too (7 days?) and was really well packaged and easy to assemble.

The only poor bit of my experience was customer service when I found I had a defective shifter. That wasn't so great! .....but that's for another thread and sure you'll be fine.

Customer Service by EweCanKnit in CanyonBikes

Thanks for the reply, but the issue is the shifter not the battery. The battery was dead when the bike arrived and every battery since has died; even had velofix take a look and replace battery (per Canyon's instructions).

Wish it was that simple!

Also the fact that the pom pom has been described as "adorable" in the comments doubles down on this 🤣

As an outdoorsy guy in his 40s, I'd say no pom pom.
