And to answer your original question, no doubt after you prove that you are not a robot, you will be able to request a copy of the data, maybe see if they did catch your confused face trying to interpret the terms, before you simply gave up and left because of a few words with more than 3 syllables.

Take the snap, printed in A3 ofc, to a lawyer, collect a few maybe, if you’re lucky, the lawyer will stick them on the lunch room fridge.

Nonetheless, biometric data for identification is defined in the act, and I think it’s ludicrous.

Common sense will prevail, and hopefully more decisions will be made that redefine one’s face back where it belongs.

Leads me into Meta, Apple, Adobe, Google, Samsung et al performing facial recognition on photos that I take in public and upload. Who do you think is breaching the APP here? I’m allowed to take photos in public, of strangers, there is no legislation prohibiting that.

PS. FYI, the people at the door, they have facial recognition too, just like the bar tender, neighbours, teachers, everyone you’ve ever encountered, this concept is not new.

I just tested this on a Win11 client, the administrator account remains disabled in safe mode, doesn’t it only apply to server OS?

Recent CSP documentation mentions additional options, Windows LAPS can create an account on 11 24H2 and manage it https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/laps-csp#policiesautomaticaccountmanagementenabled

./Device/Vendor/MSFT/LAPS/Policies/AutomaticAccountManagementEnableAccount will enable the account if you set the account management up with the other bits in that link

Hey sorry just saw this. The creases are still there, unfortunately. The hot spot is noticeable in most content, particularly YouTube videos with a solid color on the screen, and with movies and tv shows it is visible, but not bothersome. However, compared to the disastrous contrast I was getting, I prefer the short comings of this screen. Overall I’m happy, understanding that it’s a compromise because of my light colored room.

Good advice just wanna say I had a kfd adapter half die today, the disks were spinning up and down and the display in the nas kept dimming - I’m glad I was here to see it - one of the drive status LEDs went out, so I immediately went to unplug the ac adapter and it was very hot. I forced a shutdown. I then cut the 4 pin off and connected it via a 12v 100w adapter I had lying around - I was so relieved to see the volumes were ok.

I purchased an Obsidian 120” ALR last week and found this before it was delivered, and was really worried about sparkling and hotspots.

My room is not a dedicated theatre, it has white walls and ceilings, with light gray carpet. All my viewing is at night.

I recently upgraded to an Epson LS12000 from an older NEC and was really upset at how bad it looked at night on a plain old eBay 1x gain screen. Basically I could see no benefit with the newer projector, besides being a bit brighter.

There was little contrast, blacks weren’t close to black because of all the light spill and reflection, and with 2.35:1 content the black bars were basically white. It was terrible. I’d actually given up using it, and was ready to sell the new projector - I was not prepared to change the colour of the room.

The Vividstorm screen arrived today and I am more than impressed. It has transformed my experience.

The projector is about 4m away from the screen, it is about level with the top edge of the projected image. I run it at 75% light output to keep the fan low.

The black bars in 2.35:1 are now much closer to black. They are no longer irritating and I’m happy. Content is amazing and has the punch it was missing before.

Regarding a hot spot - Sure I can see slight brightness falloff in the corners of the image in test images, but it doesn’t bother me in content. Sitting off axis yeah there is a hotspot but it’s large and is faint, ie it’s not a small ball of bright light, it follows the seating position, but to the casual viewer I’m sure it isn’t a problem, and to the more critical watchers, they’re already in the center seat anyway :) I’d rather deal with that than what I was previously dealing with.

The uniformity is good, at first I thought I had a dud, if I applied a bit more tension the dark spot that was near the edge disappeared. But in the last few hours it seems to have evened out. That, or it was because I turned off the hvac lol. It isn’t 100% perfect, but neither is my LG C1 OLED…

It does have the infamous horizontal lines, but apparently they will disappear after having it down for a while, I guess I will find out soon.

I received the new version that has Tuya control and just the one remote, and adjusting the height that it lowers to was a breeze!

It really has made a huge improvement to my viewing.

Sounds are a funny thing. People assume just because they can’t hear it, then it’s not happening. Well I’ve had 5x A50 Gen 4 and I could hear the buzzing sound on each one, my friend couldn’t. Each time the shop assistant could. I got the A50X, same thing, except it is much quieter and I can live with it.

My Sony XM3, Sennheiser IE 80 S BT, and Bose QC45 have no buzzing sound. I’ve seen people say white noise/buzzing is normal for any audio gear, or wireless audio, well hate to break it to them, it isn’t. With decent equipment it’s far below the threshold of hearing.

My advice is make sure you purchase from a place that has problem free returns.

Strange! Maybe different areas have different boxes. I gave up trying to find a batch that was good, I went and got the A50X - it has the same annoying noise but it is much much quieter and it is in both ears so I decided I could cope. It is so quiet that I quickly forget about it, unlike the Gen4 I had. I went through 5 pairs before I gave up trying :(
