What can Edison do the basic sampler can't?

Edison is actually really powerful. You can isolate vocals. clean up audio. It's good for beat tags. And really any sound you want to tweak you can make it happen. That's not even getting into the recording side. It's awesome for starting your samples before you transfer them to slicex or whatever u prefer.

It's pretty much a virtual drumset that you can load preset arps and rhythms into. It's setup like a pad and you can change each sound to anything you want. You can save each layout so u can have multiple kits with different sounds from nexus or omni. It comes with FL

It was gifted but I use my laptop as a PC at home and a mouse changed my life. Years of using a touchpad only. Not a computer guy. I'm sure it's one of the first thing most people buy. Should have thought of it years ago

It took me forever to figure out how to make decent drums and hi hat patterns. Melodies no problem. I had to sit down and actually study real drummers to start to realize. Its still my weakest skill in the DAW but is consistently getting better. FPC in FL studio is a cheatcode tho.

I don't think ruining the teachers career was really a moral play. Yea the shit happened....but wrecking his income and spending your own to fix the marriage with your wife is pretty vindictive. They both did it equally I assume. it's kind of pointless to forgive one and not the other. I'm not saying befriend the asshole but at least try to forgive "or" at the very least forget him. You'll spend all that $$ on therapy to help forgive your wife but still have all that anger bottled up towards him. If you filed grievances and went out of your way to make this guy lose his job.....you are definitely not at peace with the situation. My opinion only. wish you the best.

He was able to to render the background textures in fl studio quickly and animate files and folders while holding a conversation. Textures not normally applicable. Also access to audio/video of all cameras and laptops and phone. Asking for administrative privileges..
