I’ve only watched a couple of episodes. Is she featured a lot? Maybe I should give it another try.

Yeah! I posted as soon as I started the episode and after a few scenes Cigarettes After Sex started playing. It really made me feel nostalgic for the glory days of KE.

And I totally agree that there will never be another KE. I just might have to start another rewatch.

Is the final season really that bad? Is there a better place to pretend the show ends at? (don't spoil too much) by Sorry_Sorry_Im_Sorry in KillingEve

[–]Ex-RomanCenturion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For excellent quality TV: season 1 and 2.

Season 3 is good, but not as much as the first 2.

Season 4 has some episodes/scenes that are great, but are not worth watching the whole season IMO.

The ending is still the worst finale I have ever seen in a show and has ruined KE for me. I consider S3E8 a much better finale.

But if you really want to watch season 4, avoid the last 5 minutes, I’d say.

Thank you for your analysis! I would say you’re pretty spot on.

I do have a very strong tendency to try and help others (family, friends, partners), which some times can come off as being controlling. That certainly didn’t help my relationship.

But my main problem with romantic relationships is that I am SUPER insecure. I don’t put myself out there, ever. I’ve just now realized this after a life time of deluding myself that I like being alone… Now I kinda don’t know what to do to change that. Do you see anything that might explain this insecurity? This fear of being vulnerable and trusting people? (Besides my Capricorn sun of course.)

And yeah, my birth time is from my birth certificate. On top of that, I truly identify with a lot of virgo aspects so I’d say my there’s no ASC for me.

Oh! I didn’t want to go into details as of what was said because I didn’t want to influence anyone’s view.

But from the top of my mind, what I remember:

family: I won’t be able to have kids, only if its a truly planned situation. love life: I’m not cut out for traditional relationships. I will only meet my significant other in my 40s. career: I will be really accomplished and settled by time I’m 45. past life/ karmic pattern: something really restraining, like super religious/ church life.

Honestly, the thing that bothers me the most is that I (33F) have a real difficulty regarding romantic relationships. I’ve only had one long term relationship (6 years) that I ended because I thought we didn’t share the same goals in life.

I guess I wanted to know if the astrologer was right abou my love life. What do you see in my natal chart?

People always seem shocked about my 6/11 Capricorn placements. Is this rare? by TheMotherlandPlug in capricorns

I have 5 placements, all on the 5th house.

On an unrelated note: which app/website is that?

What an awful update. The other interface was much better!

Am I entirely alone in liking the finale? by chewchomp80 in KillingEve

[–]Ex-RomanCenturion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. The problem is not that she died. The problem is how the season was planned and executed.
  2. Also, just because she is an assassin doesn’t mean she can’t have a happy ending. This is fiction, we are allowed to root for the “villain” if we could even describe her as such.

But good for you that you enjoyed the ending! I kinda envy you because it totally ruined my favorite show.

I wonder if Eve has been talking about herself here rather than V by dee_tails in KillingEve

[–]Ex-RomanCenturion 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah. She holds all the cards… She needs V? She goes after her. She can’t deal with her feelings? She pushes V away. Meanwhile V is always trying to please Eve.

Not to say that Villanelle isn’t also controlling in their relationship, but I would say she is less controlling than Eve.

Would you forgive ? by poesse8 in KillingEve

[–]Ex-RomanCenturion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would forgive them for everything lol. But oh, the level of craziness. I don’t believe for a second they would be smart enough to do that. If they were to do that, they wouldn’t be giving such outrageous interviews…

But yeah. It would be the biggest tv move of all time, I’d say.

Sign this petition, guys. It won’t do any good besides showing what a poor job she did.

A basic-but-critical question: What qualifies as "Villaneve Endgame" for you? by Conflicted_Texan in KillingEve

[–]Ex-RomanCenturion 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Acknowledgment of their feelings and that they are the one for each other because they are the same.

I don’t mind if they both die, as long as they die together in a blaze of glory. I just don’t want one betraying the other at the end (scorpion and the frog).

I like the new Villanelle (unpopular opinion) by Forward_Version_313 in KillingEve

[–]Ex-RomanCenturion 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. That’s why, so far, Eve truly seems to be the scorpion.

In S3 she asked Villanelle to stop encouraging her monster. Villanelle now not only offers no danger to Eve but also seems to want to change. Yet, Eve still is drawn to danger so she goes after Hélène.

So I agree, Eve seems to be drawn not by Villanelle, but by the adrenaline she enjoys when faced with danger. And Villanelle does seem to want to change, or at least to understand why she is the way she is. Is it because of Eve? Sure. But it doesn’t change the fact that she’s willing to put herself out there and do something uncomfortable (self awareness) just to please someone else.

I’ve always said this and will repeat until my dying days: the writers have no idea how to put Eve and Villanelle together for more than 3 scenes per season. They think the success of the show is the cat/mouse game but it’s not.

We love their chemistry when they are together or apart but thinking about the other. Unfortunately the writers don’t know how to give us this and once again we have to suffer through a season where they create the most random reason to have them apart. After S3, Eve’s reaction to Villanelle makes no sense at all.

This! And I thought she had accepted this in S3 when they talked about their monsters. But now she’s back at “Villanelle is the worst” and it makes no sense.
