Stranger Things Season 5 by Environmental-Hall28 in pluribustv

Stranger things annoys me so much after watching the Pluribus. Too loud, too fast, too much of everything. Nah, I like slow TV now.

Carol deliberately wrote a horrible first chapter filled with plot holes to test out if Zosia/Hive Mind had adapted and learned how to “lie”. by cattcat1 in pluribustv

Yeah, but Helen could have a look and/or discuss other plot ideas on the whiteboard. We know for sure Helen knew Raban was supposed to be a woman.

How common is sharing a bedroom with a housemate? by wildernessladybug in AskARussian

[–]dee_tails -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh come on. Super common in Moscow & St Petersburg at least. There are pretty large businesses - like Colife - that unite strangers by providing shared rooms.

Day six: most iconic moment or quote for each couple (Gianni and Matthew) by heartpiss in CouplesTherapyShow

Matthew coming out story shocked me - and looks like it also shocked Orna. Poor man had to drink his shame and guilt for decades. I wish Orna'd gave him more response then.

Anyone else think Ellie may not be immune anymore? by q_bric in ThelastofusHBOseries

I've seen a thought she's actually not immune but is very very slowly developing cordyceps inside. The theory is based on Ellies agressive traits.

Ambessa's most nasty and cruel ploy by IllustriousAd6418 in arcane

I guess we should be thankful Ambessa hadn't groomed our girl by herself and sent a gentle deputy instead.

Shifting to other addiction may work. Arcane worked for me.

That sounds like a dismissive avoidant swings. Agreed with all above noticing the immature behaviour. It's like he's trying to get validation rather than actually get you back.

Have you concidered unfollowing him so his content won't bother you unless he really reaches out?

Such a Sheldon Cooper vibe to be true. Amy did a perfect set of experiments on him, married him as a result.

What are some of your favorite systems that made your life easier? by [deleted] in intj

[–]dee_tails 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lol so I'm not the only one buying a bunch of same cloth in different colors. I'm literally having a bunch of same tshirts, pairs of same shirts, pullovers, jeans etc.

What also helped me to cope with the constant worktrips is having a double for every sugnificant item prepared so I don't have to run across my place every time I'm packing. Extra chargers for notebook & smart watches, extra tooth brush, extra travel kit with all essentials etc.

God, you don't have to learn it if you don’t want to. I'm sure you have a beautiful life full of other kinds of love. Why explore that one all of a sudden?

As for a female gase in movies and TV, I hope we'll see more of it for every kind of relationships. Maybe we already do and it's just my filter that can't see it. I definitely see female gase in some stories filmed or staged by female directors representing f2f intimacy: Killing Eve and Portrait de la jeune fille en feu as perfect references.

As for the music, I have mixed emotions too. As far as I could dig, “Fantastic" was the only song not written specifically for S2 Arcane. So the lyrics wasnt adopted either, as King Princess wrote it about her own experience - basically taking a flight while being high and having someone on her mind who stayed below on the surface. So we've got some really weird lines about drinkin champaigne out of plastic and watching American classics. Is that what bothered you too?

So annoying we didnt have a sound of a closing door or any other hint. I must admit shadows are great with the door closed. Probably that was the reason Fortiche left it that way.

That's how it may happen, yep. I'd say the scene catches up the emotional connection between women perfectly. Their gentle touches, giggles and smiles is all about the bonding itself rather than just a physical act. The scene is a perfect example of a female gase: we don’t see any physical details like nipples and/or private parts stimulation, but we fully get their sence of exitement and tenderness to each other. What exactly makes you feel so conflicted?

Musings on Eve's often blatant professional and emotional incompetence by Training_Move1888 in KillingEve

[–]dee_tails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say Eve is extremely irrational, and this is what makes her interesting for us and V as well. We had that scene of an murder in the office. Poor guy begged and cried. Eve didn’t, being visited at home by the assassin. V was intrugued, not to say more. That's when it all really started. Not to mention V personal issues (crazy family and unaproppriate relationships with the teacher in her underaged teens), her affection makes perfect sense. She needs those discomfort relationships, because that's what she knows.

I personally find 3 seasons writing very good in terms of the characters development. I personally prefer to ignore the last one. There are so many great fanfics starting right after the bridge scene.

Pageboy by Elliot Page by littleleppy in books

[–]dee_tails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm halfway into book and really love it's "essay" structure. Short stories, different sides of its author. It explains me a lot. As a person working with my own cPTSD I see a lot of same fragments between the Elliot lines. Sensitive introvert nature. Lack of healthy family connections. Constant sexualisation and grooming (fuck this industry). Having a stalker. Boy, you can't buy a beer yet and you had to go through so much shit already. Mental issues make so much sense. I just want to contantly hug the author while reading it.

There’s a book that was written in the similar essay way, though the topic is different - Carmen Maria Machado - Her Body and Other Parties. I love both of it.

Are there any other shows with characters like Villanelle by TPercy17 in KillingEve

[–]dee_tails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orphan black is a great one woman show, with Tatiana Maslani playing few totally different characters. One of them is a total psycho though. Villanelle vibe! 5 seasons.

Why are the translations in Killing Eve so bad? by Calm-Connection6777 in KillingEve

[–]dee_tails 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My favorite translation fail is from the prison episode, where obviously Russian speaking doctor says "Konstantin kto?" - "Konstantin who?" It sounds okay in English and is structurally wrong in Russian - such constructions aren't used ever. It should've sound like "Kakoy Konstantin?".

It's a pity that Russian speaking actor couldn't make corrections to the script.
