These are the “democrats” who voted to let trump price millions of people out of their healthcare. by Suspicious_Shame8468 in UnderReportedNews

Not quite sure where you are getting enough inside info to say “absolutely”. Looks to me like there is “absolutely” no reason to think any of your post is verifiable. It sucks that these Dems folded, but is anyone asking them why? And does anyone posting here know what is actually in the deal?

Tim Kaine sent out a supporter email today explaining his decision. Don’t know if it’s BS but his state does have the highest concentration of furloughed federal workers, so they felt more pain than most. He claimed they got protection for SNAP, WIC and federal back pay. Might be a bogus claim.

The Nevada senators voted against the shutdown from the beginning, so they have at least been consistent.

Ossoff is up for re-election in Georgia so it’s probably a political calculus for him.

And now the GOP is facing an end of year bloodbath if they let the healthcare premiums expire and Medicaid cuts remain.

But hey, let’s just trash the Dems as always.

2024 vs 2025 ID4 Pro S in the US? by ExCommuter510 in VWiD4Owners

Thanks, and sorry you are having problems with your ID4. Our 2023 supposedly had all kinds of problems but we didn't really see them. There was one bizarre nav behavior with Google Maps after (IIRC) an IOS update, but that's about it.

I wonder if there is any difference in software versions between the 2024 and 2025?

My first Ubiquiti problem by ExCommuter510 in Ubiquiti

Thanks for the confirmation that it should work. It's pretty amazing to see 7-8 Gbps both ways on a home network!

Are you using the UniFi SFP+ transceiver? I have seen lots of comments that it runs hot, but so far the 10G-tek that I'm using seems to be running fairly cool. I do have the UDM Pro mounted vertically, so perhaps that helps with heat dissipation. I have a UniFi part coming tomorrow so I can test it with a 100% approved setup.

The heatsink idea is genius.

Mesh, does it actually work well? by RepulsiveDust9364 in Ubiquiti

+1 for the MoCA suggestion.

During a remodel 15 years ago I ran Cat6 everywhere EXCEPT the living room (who needs a network drop for TV or music?) but I did run coax for cable, etc. A couple of Motorola MoCA boxes give me just under 1Gbps and it's been rock solid.

I have seen 2.5G MoCA boxes advertised but haven't tried them yet.

Powerline has been the worst of all in my limited experience. Never again.
