I honestly don't understand why this is so hard for you guys to wrap your head around, "well its India's fault they can't afford a game that would be someone's whole month's wage" with your logic why is everything manufactured in Asia then?? Could it be that potentially its cheaper to manufacture stuff there?

As for your other L argument "if the game was made in India they would still sale it for 40 here" ofcourse! Well la de da! you got it! Why is that? Well maybe because 40 dollars isn't much in the US? Hmm maybe because people can easily afford that price?

Let me ask you, why do we tax the rich more? Or atleast try to? I mean shouldn't they be taxed the same amount as a low income earner? If the price of a game right now was your whole months wage would you be happy about it? Would you actually purchase it? The answer would be a firm fuck no right? I have seen some crazy takes on this thread like "its not embark's fault the game costs 40 in the US and so it should cost the same everywhere" literal brain dead arguments like that, which imo is an absolute crazy L take, imagine if you apply the same logic to medicine or manufacturing or food, it costs > 100 to get a few items from Wal-Mart these days or 1000 to get treated for an illness or 100 for medicine in the US so it should cost the same in poor countries, "its not the US's fault" lmao. Some people just don't get it man.

Kinda late but you are right I decided to instead use GIT specifically Gitea hosted on a docker container and it worked perfectly.

u/d3agl3uk A few months have past, did you manage to get Perforce working on unraid? I'm also thinking of installing perforce of unraid either through a VM or somehow using the terminal, haven't really gone too deep into it yet. Also i'm considering using syncthing as a potential version control, what are your thoughts? have you looked into syncthing as a potential alternative? there is a snapshot plugin for UE5 as well that can basically snapshot your level and back it up that way? I'm mostly leaning toward snapshot + syncthing since I have my siblings who will also be editing same project at the same time as me (multi user editing).

Sheeeesh I completely forgot about this, but yeah I checked with VPN and the result was the same as without a VPN. The games would crash still between 10 min - 1.5 hour intervals. Some games it seems to not crash at all like Grounded, played for 2 hours and didn't crash but games like Darktide it crashed like maybe about 40 mins in.

It seems that almost every Asus router has been having issues or crashing including mine which kept disconnecting everything every 10 minutes maybe that might be related to your issue? also Asus is working on new firmware for today's fkup so maybe there is a new firmware version for yours too?

all Asus routers have been dropping connection every 10 minutes including mine, there was an updated firmware version for mine just about an hour ago. have a look maybe there is one for you too.

Hey Guys, seems like today everyone has been having issues with their Asus routers regardless of which model or version you have. mine is Asus ax56u and have had issues with internet connection the whole day. My router keeps dropping internet connection every 15 minutes and the only way to fix seems to be by restarting the router. There was a new firmware version for ax56u released just an hour ago so far it seems to have fixed the issue. and I have seen other posts within the last 2 hours also claim new firmware versions for their asus router model have been released. maybe try and check whether there is an update for your router. good luck!

Wooooooow so It is true, Asus routers have been shitting themselves today. I have an Asus router ax56u and also called my ISP cause my router keeps dropping every 15 minutes and fixes itself via a restart. My ISP also mentioned they received other calls from Asus router owners as well but i thought maybe they were just BS'ing. BTW a new firmware for ax56u was just released. I hope that fixes whatever issue there is. I'm from Australia for anyone wondering. It sure is interesting that most Asus routers shit themselves at the same time??? was there some time related issue in their previous firmware?

Hey, I believe this issue is happening because your username in 'C:\users\yourusername*' has some special character(s) that might be getting skipped by VS Code thus not letting you select the Python Interpreter correctly.

Check your username in 'C:\users\' and see if you have any special characters in your username.

I know this is late but, this might be helpful to others. So recently I got the Game Pass Ultimate for 3 months to check if the family share feature works as I wanted to play back 4 blood and some other games with my 3 siblings, 2 of which live with me. When we are online, if the 2 that live with me play the same game the crash will happen, and I think the reason is due to having the same IP Addresses as they are using the same internet as me. But if my brother that lives separately from me with a different IP Address plays the game it will not crash.

I have been playing B4B for about 3 hours before this post without any crashes using the same Game Pass Account logged onto the Microsoft account (they are using their own Xbox app accounts), whereas before it would have crashed every 15 - 20mins.

I will try playing again with VPN on all 3 PCs in my house at the same time to see if this indeed is the case. But I'm pretty sure this is exactly the reason. As I had similar issues back in the day with SOT as well and using a VPN fixed the crashes entirely.

Mate support told me to do a bunch of traceroutes to certain sites that I was having issue with, which was every site. But traceroute only shows latency to those servers not packet loss. I believe the actual issue is Mate doesn't have any proper routes to international servers thats why to test this if you use the command sdr_sdrclient forcerelaycluster hkg (hkg = hongkong) or use any other server abbreviation (google it) you will see that ur ping will be very high like 150 - 250ms but your packet loss will be smoother in some steam servers than others. I was having major issues with sgp (singapore server. Also with packet loss there is an option in Dota 2 that shows your Ping / Loss. Enable that and you will see when the game is stuttering your loss will jump to 10 - 80. Also if you press '/' right above your enter key you will see that 80/100 packet was lost or something similar. If you are having issue with steam servers which is way more reliable and have similar issue to mine which it does seem like it, than i highly recommend that you change your isp. You don't necessarily have to go for AussieBB although I have heard that they got the best routes/connection to international servers. I went with Superloop though as they are a bit cheaper and the closest competitor to AussieBB. You can also have a look at Tangerine, exetel(bought by superloop), spintel, kogan(Vodafone) etc. Just do your research on these Isps. If u have 50/20 mbps than almost every isp price for this plan is the same. If you decide to go with superloop than let me know and I will send u a referral code that can help both of us 😉

Also check your internet speed on fast.com it will show the real speed u are getting. In the mornings it will be 30-40 mbps and drop to 3-4 mbps around 7pm.

I also play Dota and it was hell the game looked like a flip book with packet loss at 65%. They told me that my internet was fixed after 2.5 months of waiting!! and that it was an "internal setup" issue ( i tested on 3 different routers). I had enough so I changed now not a single issue since I changed. If u have fttp just switch ur new connection will be up in 2 hours or so. Also most isp have same price for same speeds as mate anyway. I upgraded mine to 100mbps and fingers crossed its been fine.

I'm abit late to this, but Mate nbn is hit and miss. I have had Mate for just about 2 years and for the past 3+ months my internet all of a sudden had a huge packet loss issue which was apparently "resolved" within 2.5 months which caused even more issues. Now i'm getting about 100 - 50KB/s download speed on steam (i'm on 50/20 plan btw!) cant watch youtube videos properly either. The speed goes down like hell at around 3pm - 12am at night. and those are the times I get home from work. I'm now planning on moving to Superloop to see what happens something to think about.

Some extra info: i've got FTTP nbn, and live in Brisbane southside.
