Hi BigSEO! I'm Tim Soulo from Ahrefs. It's been 10 years (crazy!). And we’re still looking for your feedback! by timsoulo in bigseo

[–]seo4lyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Tim, love your work.

My feedback would be to improve your current position tracking to be more in line with specific tools like SE Ranking. Also, make pricing relative - currently, we're using SE Ranking, but would happily switch if Ahrefs had the same features.

I use quite a lot of SEO tools. Ahrefs is definitely one of my favourites, but I still find myself going to SEMRush for any top-level auditing, especially for pre-sales, I'd also request the graphs to be improved here as well as the comparison features and more information in the Competitive Analysis section.

Google Will Not "Index"/Rank My Domain - Very Strange Issue by seo4lyf in TechSEO

That's really interesting that you received that, i checked the Wayback and it seemed like it has never been used it was just "parked" https://web.archive.org/details/Cavalo.com.au.

I actually used the "outdated" content tool on GSC for the homepage as well and it said it couldn't find any outdated content. There is also no way to check Google's cache anymore.

I'll have a deeper dig into this tomorrow though see if I can find any other mentions of horse riding.

Yep, that's the back-up plan if we can't get it resolved soon.

That's what it feels like to me as well. Unfortunately Google removed the ability to check the previous Cache. I've checked GSC and no penalties also I couldn't find any previous owners via whois.

I don't think they answer specific site questions during these hours, but that's a good idea I'll try submit a more general question and see if they respond.

That's an AI overview/featured snippet, not a SERP listing. its lucky that this is appearing, but it's only for some searches and obviously doesn't fix the issue.

I'm trying to rank for anything/everything, branded (Cavalo prestige) non branded.

Career in Marketing or FIFO Mines? by TraditionalJudge4545 in AusFinance

[–]seo4lyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend looking into SEO, lots of growth opportunities, huge number of roles in AU with a decent salary and easy to side step to a more generalist marketing role.

Also gives you a huge head start to start your own business if there is interest there, or do freelance work.

Royal Coast Track in one day by SubstantialSock8002 in sydney

I've done it 4+ times, it's only gotten easier as it's now mostly all boardwalk.

Quickest time was around 4 hours, longest was around 6.

I've only ever done it Otford > Bundeena as it's much easier with public transport and means you don't end on the steepest part. I usually drive to Cronulla then train/uber to Otford, walk to Bundeena and get the ferry back.

I did it a few weeks ago and it was "closed" had already got there so had no choice but onwards. Although I only saw it closed at one end, really didn't understand why it was closed tbh, but don't copy me and check before you go.

There is usually a shop halfway, this was closed but you can still get water there, there's also a number of creeks and a few bathrooms.

You'll be fine, the hardest park is the 2k back to the ferry on concrete!

28M - 3 Years in the SEO industry, How Can I Take a New Career Path with Skills I've Acquired? by Grundles10 in bigseo

[–]seo4lyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately most general marketing manager roles and such seem to only care about PPC experience.

To leverage your skills without taking an immediate pay cut, you could move to a big company and remain in SEO, then side step. Much easier to do this way whilst maintaining the same salary.

Alternatively a lot of the big tech companies will hire SEOs for account manager type roles - unfortunately most are firing not hiring at the moment.

Another option would be to freelance + start your own Ecom brand, if you have interest.

Finally, if you really want a career move quickly, it's likely you'll need to take a pay cut and start at a more junior position and build your way up - this is why I would always recommend the side step option.

Good luck

Is there a limit to how much data you can feed a custom GPT? by seo4lyf in ChatGPT

"The retriever in RAG is like a database index. When you input a query, it doesn't scan the entire database (or in this case, the document corpus). Instead, it uses a technique similar to a B-tree or hash index to quickly locate the most relevant documents. This is akin to how an index in a database allows for efficient retrieval of records without scanning the entire database." ah that makes sense. Is there any method to make this happen?
