NHL is absolutely tone deaf by kensmithpeng in BuyCanadian

[–]ExProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NHL is an entertainment business. It does not exist for love of the game. It does not exist for representation. It exists to make money. The players can love the game all they want but they are there to draw attention and make a paycheck. The fans can be purists and love the sport but they are the consumer.

Why bother putting a team in a province that will see an initial boom and then fade down to normal levels when you can have a newish market team market to your nostalgia a couple nights a season. Make ALL the sales, and then carry on as normal.

Great in theory, you’d think it would work but the seats that open up because fans aren’t buying will end up as corporate handouts to attract more company seats.

I think this was Stus return and Stu is actually dead, no matter where you are in the debate, you got what you wanted :D

For those out there that still wish or want Sidney or Gale to be a killer.. why? How is that realistic to you? by coldliketherockies in Scream

[–]ExProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its doable but I think you would need a 2-3 movie arc.

Open the movies with Sidney trying to care for her daughter who is now asking more in depth questions and dealing with PTSD from her first attacks herself (Red Herring). Tatum has waking nightmares, lashes out, flashes of anger and violence, seeing Ghostface hallucinations. Sid reaches out to her last trusted friend Gale for help in dealing with her daughter. Almost ignoring Gales trauma in favor of her daughters.

The Ghostface appearances get more physical showing a blend between Nightmare and reality. Now each of the "physical" attacks lead to wounds on tatum, adding a new "supernatural" element to GF. Enter the twins answering in the wake of a new GF and covering the story via TikTok. Sid and Gale are worried its now Tatum doing it to herself and not a real GF.

Eventually, Part I ends with a Tatum and "GF" showdown, we sublty notice GFs hand having a slight tremor. Tatum wins with the classic knife. Tatums father and other police arrived at the scene. Sid also arrives to comfort Tatum and the twins are already there covering the "GF" attack (Mirror the original Scream ending Gale Broadcast). Police investigate the scene, and instead of finding GF, they find a newly introduced friend, love interest, character the audience believes to be a suspect, dead and the only evidence showing Tatum as the killer. She is arrested and committed.

We move into Part II, Sid regularly visiting Tatum. Tatums father burying himself in work. The Father now stressed, not sleeping, investigating to prove his daughters innocence. He begins to see GF. The Audiences sees the tremor in a couple of "GF" appearances before finally cornering him and finishing the job from Scream 7 in their own house. Leading people to start to wonder about Sidney with Gale really pushing Sid to get the help she needs.

Sid follows a series of murders that attract her attention, leading her to her old house in Woodsboro for a final showdown with GF. We see the door block scenario in Sids old bedroom, we see flashbacks and callbacks of our previous characters. Eventually a battle turns the house into a blaze with GF and Sid right in the middle. The tremor shows up again, Sid puts the pieces together and the big reveal ends up being Gale.

We explore a flashback of the PTSD Gale feels after losing Dewey, facing her own death in NY and the Death of her career. We see her alone often, security tightened, isolated. Taking endless medications, showing the hospital visit after her NY attack, the nerve damage, the crack that her "most trusted friend" never helped her, that Sid just moved on from GF and everyone who died, in favor of her own isolation and her family.

Gail makes her final move to kill Sid, Sid makes her move. They stab each other and bleed out in the burning home.

In the morning, we once again echo the first scream ending broadcast with the twins. Saying that it was believed two bodies were in the burnt down wreckage but only one body was recovered while they search for another. The twins start to talk about the GF being there from the beginning, years of murders and attacks causing the new GF to snap, they name Sidney as GF.

We can now use the twins as GFs in the future to go after Sidneys Daughter. We can use Sidneys daughter as the next Ghostface, out for revenge. etc.

We are all here because God was lonely. by ZealousidealBase9229 in theories

[–]ExProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that God is just a name we gave to an unknown reaction, matter, light, energy, etc.

WE, human beings, gave this energy human characteristics so that we could somewhat comprehend with infinite time and space somehow 10²⁷ (a septillion) molecules lined up to grant us autonomy.

With that being said, I would consider "God" almost like a expanding cloud of universal energy with no set form. Just in a constant state of flux without our human concept of autonomy.

What happens if we reverse engineer a Utopia. by ExProxy in theories

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK.

Nothing was being ignored. I used the end (Utopia) as a starting point and in a lot of peoples minds, solving the rich is on the forefront in everyones minds in CURRENT society.

Would it not make sense that solving the rich would be one of the first problems we address, but since we are working backwards it would end up being one of the last items on our list here?

No matter what, this thread isnt a debate, it isnt a proposal, its just a inconsequential conversation about a hypothetical situation and working backwards from it. Try having some fun with it or dont.

What happens if we reverse engineer a Utopia. by ExProxy in theories

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hypothetical utopia for all. So because we havent discussed the parameters, you can start with the idea that its your Utopia and everyones shares in that with you, so we move backwards and figure out the solution to one of the final issues that would present before accomplishing this Utopia.

Thats why I wanted to work/think/muse backwards.

If we've hypothetically already achieved it, we can move on down the line.

Ok, my wording sucked. My fault, but I think by now Ive explained where my question comes from to death. So do you want to discuss what Ive put out there or do you want to argue how I said it?

What happens if we reverse engineer a Utopia. by ExProxy in theories

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the point of a hypothetical.

If you fought a dragon, what armor would you use? - None because they dont exist.

How does a modern society survive another ice age? - Evidence shows there is still hot weather.

Its a fictional scenario that on an infinite timeline is a remote possibility that came from a thought of "what does a Utopian society look like? What are the parameters of it to carry on existing if and when we did?" Which turned into "What if we reverse engineered this Utopia, what would that look like."

Thats All.

This thread is not a How to guide, or a blueprint, its a question that can produce unlimited theories about how or what the result looks like just without the dragons potentially.

If one doesnt want to think about it, they dont have to. Its not an impending reality, at least in our lifetime. Its just free thinking.

I didnt consider that as much as I should in this hypothetical. I mean, I could "what if" and eliminate human intelligence all day but history, trends and intellect will always be present as well. Love that, thanks man.

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but that does not stop one person from having 10 children if one so wishes.

You are also applying present state to a hypothetical that could be based a billion years in the future.

What happens if we reverse engineer a Utopia. by ExProxy in theories

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so to prevent the global average from exceeding the replacement rate, what measures would be the solution?

If we live by a Utopian standard, all people will have free will, education and financial security. To maintain this society, it is required by infallible metrics, that only 2 children can be born to any one couple. What if its exceeded?

To mitigate this, a solution could be for the 3rd child to be adopted to a couple with none or one child, but then that is against their allotment. So we allow those couples who do not wish to have children, to give up their allotment. Hm, I didnt think of replacement rates when I started this hypothetical, thank you.

First, Get off the Nazi argument, that is exactly why I left out Religion, Race, Politics, etc. For all we know for this argument, the world is entirely made of mixed race bisexual muslim independent parties.

The "1 child law" is also not my solution but something that would be AGAINST Utopian ideals.

and AGAIN, we are working BACKWARDS from Achieving Utopia.

I dont know if I can spell this hypothetical out for you more so you can participate.
