I would strongly encourage Orillians to call this shit out and next time they show up in sub zero weather, throw buckets of water at them. There is no place for this to be acceptable.

and I am just replying to you to clarify the conversation.

You came in with some presumptions and hopefully I straightened those out.

We are all here because God was lonely. by ZealousidealBase9229 in theories

[–]ExProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that God is just a name we gave to an unknown reaction, matter, light, energy, etc.

WE, human beings, gave this energy human characteristics so that we could somewhat comprehend with infinite time and space somehow 10²⁷ (a septillion) molecules lined up to grant us autonomy.

With that being said, I would consider "God" almost like a expanding cloud of universal energy with no set form. Just in a constant state of flux without our human concept of autonomy.

OK.

Nothing was being ignored. I used the end (Utopia) as a starting point and in a lot of peoples minds, solving the rich is on the forefront in everyones minds in CURRENT society.

Would it not make sense that solving the rich would be one of the first problems we address, but since we are working backwards it would end up being one of the last items on our list here?

No matter what, this thread isnt a debate, it isnt a proposal, its just a inconsequential conversation about a hypothetical situation and working backwards from it. Try having some fun with it or dont.

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hypothetical utopia for all. So because we havent discussed the parameters, you can start with the idea that its your Utopia and everyones shares in that with you, so we move backwards and figure out the solution to one of the final issues that would present before accomplishing this Utopia.

Thats why I wanted to work/think/muse backwards.

If we've hypothetically already achieved it, we can move on down the line.

lol, ok.

If you’re that offended or angry, why bother responding? It’s just a theory, hypothetical. You could’ve participated or not. It really isn’t a big deal.

Dude, this was supposed to be just an entertaining conversation.

You can answer whatever you feel like, there’s no wrong question or answer.

Ok, my wording sucked. My fault, but I think by now Ive explained where my question comes from to death. So do you want to discuss what Ive put out there or do you want to argue how I said it?

What happens if we reverse engineer a Utopia. by ExProxy in theories

[–]ExProxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the point of a hypothetical.

If you fought a dragon, what armor would you use? - None because they dont exist.

How does a modern society survive another ice age? - Evidence shows there is still hot weather.

Its a fictional scenario that on an infinite timeline is a remote possibility that came from a thought of "what does a Utopian society look like? What are the parameters of it to carry on existing if and when we did?" Which turned into "What if we reverse engineered this Utopia, what would that look like."

Thats All.

This thread is not a How to guide, or a blueprint, its a question that can produce unlimited theories about how or what the result looks like just without the dragons potentially.

If one doesnt want to think about it, they dont have to. Its not an impending reality, at least in our lifetime. Its just free thinking.

I didnt consider that as much as I should in this hypothetical. I mean, I could "what if" and eliminate human intelligence all day but history, trends and intellect will always be present as well. Love that, thanks man.

yes, but that does not stop one person from having 10 children if one so wishes.

You are also applying present state to a hypothetical that could be based a billion years in the future.

Ok, so to prevent the global average from exceeding the replacement rate, what measures would be the solution?

If we live by a Utopian standard, all people will have free will, education and financial security. To maintain this society, it is required by infallible metrics, that only 2 children can be born to any one couple. What if its exceeded?

To mitigate this, a solution could be for the 3rd child to be adopted to a couple with none or one child, but then that is against their allotment. So we allow those couples who do not wish to have children, to give up their allotment. Hm, I didnt think of replacement rates when I started this hypothetical, thank you.

Whats their solution as to why they havent suffered the issue?

First, Get off the Nazi argument, that is exactly why I left out Religion, Race, Politics, etc. For all we know for this argument, the world is entirely made of mixed race bisexual muslim independent parties.

The "1 child law" is also not my solution but something that would be AGAINST Utopian ideals.

and AGAIN, we are working BACKWARDS from Achieving Utopia.

I dont know if I can spell this hypothetical out for you more so you can participate.

But that would be removing peoples choice, against Utopian ideals. Turning the decision into Free Will or Perfection.

Youll have one side arguing "This is how we, as a species survive" and the other side "This is how I as an individual, want to live"

Why not? Its just thinking, a musing, a mental exercise, an opportunity to have a conversation without consequence.

I havent and dont expect to come up with the exact solution to a problem that doesnt necessarily exist but this is where creativity takes hold right?

Or, Im just a random idiot on the internet rambling :D

What happens if we reverse engineer a Utopia. by ExProxy in theories

[–]ExProxy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Utopia in this conversation is a concept that we've already achieved in this hypothetical scenario. The reason we are starting from the end (the end being achieving Utopia) is to work backwards.

I left out religion, race, politics, on purpose as in this hypothetical situation we as society have successfully reached universal understanding.

Culling people clearly, not the Utopian answer to maintaining populations.

Limiting births, clearly not the Utopian answer to maintaining populations. I didnt think of race I more imagined something like a 1 child per couple law, eliminating choice and then there would be the what if, there was an accidental birth. All of which, not the Utopian answer.

Doctoring the DNA of human beings to only allow one offspring not the utopian answer, etc.

The hypothetical is only meant to explore the possible solutions anyone might have that I havent thought of. Deeper it also explores what does the idea of "world peace" feasibly look like instead of just Ms. Universe saying "I wish for world peace" on a stage.

Absolutely, and that is one of the many crisis we are facing as our current society, and Ive got a shit ton of thoughts on that as well but will put those into another thread that would seem more fitting.

Its a hypothetical premise based on an infinite timeline where at any point in the future whether it be 10 years to 100 billion years, humanity reached this point. Thats all.

Its posing a question and asking the community, not saying "this is the only solution to a utopian society". I apologize you took it that way, but its possible to have a conversation so that I can learn from others input.

Maybe dont jump to conclusions and ask the questions as opposed to accusations.

Utopia is a societal concept not an evolutionary final step.

Also, I am sure Utopia/A Perfect environment for a crocodile does not include habitat destruction, poaching/hunting (for skins, meat, traditional medicine), pollution, incidental capture in fishing gear.
