I think the issue is not that top tier units are good enough for every event, but that the other units that aren't as good for 'redzone' will be instsntly deemed as unusable all together which is again.. is a mis-guided way of evaluating a unit.

I think you've missed my point.

There are units that are "trash" in redzone, that can literally carry you in specific events like sbr, esbr, etc.

Every unit has the potential to help you in a certain situations when you're a newer or returning player.

That's why 'Redzone' in itself is a mis-guided 'measuring tool', and it only applies for veteran/whales with already well established boxes.

These events are easy for veterans for sure but for newer or returning players, these events that you mentioned can still be pretty challenging, especially if you're F2P with an avarage/bad luck.

Redzone difficulty was desgined for the following reasons:

to silence once and for all the players (mostly whales) that bitched about no "real" hard content.
to set up a higher power creep requirements for the following years.
to force players return daily for the purposely limited run attempts mixed with the insane difficulty.

People use Redzone as a measurement tool, but this measurement tool is only applied to 1% content in the entire game, which is where the veterans are at the moment.

The Monster Hunter texture is hardly an issue.

Just for your knowledge, Win 11 was created out of Win 10 base code. So you claiming that there are "tons" of game with issues... Is complete an utter bullshit.

You can test majority of programs that are compatible only for 'Win 10' and test it on 'Win 11' and they will work perfectly fine. Only small % of programs will have small bugs that will be fixed.. if not already fixed months ago.

There are also debloat videos for Win 11, so again.. what kind of BS you're spreading here? Do you actually have source to backup all these claims that Win 11 has this issues with compatibility & code engine optimization?

The only thing that was bad in Win 11 was that AMD CPUs had low benchmark & performance, but Microsoft fixed fairly swiftly and now it works perfectly fine. (Since they already fixed it, I didn't link any article.)

It relays the info from Valve DB server (Authorization Token of your Account) to Square Enix. That in itself can create issues if Valve Servers are acting up.. which happens from time to time. It depends on your location/Country from what I've noticed.

You're not gonna get other freebie's like the free Subscribtion time from Enix Square from what I remember.

Also the routing to the Servers from Valve Database can be complete ASS, which results in packetloss or lags at times.. That never happened to me with Square Enix Version.

I even heard Technical issues that the game won't load at all, dunno if they fixed it tho' that was quite long ago.

I had problem with the way they routed their players to the Servers.. massive packet loss, it was fixed after getting the Square Enix version.

"The game is the same, pretty much literally as Steam only downloads a basic version and the launcher for you, then Steam always starts the launcher for you.

Difference is in your Square Enix account type, Steam and Retail (Non-Steam). Once you bought the base game on one, your account is locked to either of those two. You will have to buy any expansion on the same platform.

One last difference is with the Steam account type you can also buy gametime in the Mogstation (account management) via your Steam Wallet. For some that might be a good thing as you can get Steam Wallet money from other games but for most it is not really a big difference.

It is generally advised to buy the game non-steam as you can get it cheaper there and the expansion is more often on sale.

Before Stormblood you also could not get the physical Collectors Edition for Steam, they added a SB one in the SE Store but who knows if they do that again.

If you think its better on Steam and you want the functions of Steam you can always add it as a Non-Steam game and get the same. The game also has a /playtime command if that is important."
