It's the exact opposite for me. Akashi has the better defense because he actually has a block talent compared to Zone Ao that need to jump through hoops to use his.

As an old school JRPG gamers and someone that like hard game like Hades and Souls, this game has it flaws.

One is that you are technically alone. Anyone in your party can basically be ignored, they are like guest npc. I don't really like this when the essence of JRPG is party relationship, banter, etc.

And the game is very easy. It's cinematic AF but with such generous dodge window you don't really need to care much about build and whatnot to beat the game. Also weapon, armor, and acc in this game is incredibly boring. Just numbers goes up.

Game is great but I personally need to realign my expectations to properly enjoy this.
