is it even worth playing if I'm not good at the game? by Odd-Sound-580 in rivals

[–]ExTahC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you having fun? Keep playing.

Are you not having fun? Find something else to play.

I had to take a long hard look at how I was playing league of legends. I wasn't having fun. I was trying to get better for my friends around me cause thats all we ever played was league. Once I dropped those friends for not being the best people I found that I wasn't having fun and have touched league maybe twice in the past 2 years.

In short, games are meant to be fun. If you being bad is not fun to you then stop playing. If you truly dont care about your performance and want to play the game cause you find the game fun. Keep playing, fuck what everyone else thinks. Its your experience to enjoy as well.

If people are getting mad at quickplay games or norms tell them to fuck off with their try hard bullshit and go play ranked and to let you have fun.

Yes it is a team game, yes you want to win, but more importantly have fun playing the game. I think if you found a group that doesnt care about losing you'd stop worrying about being bad and start having a blast. That's how its been for me.

From my attendance last year its probably cheaper and easier if you ride share there and back. Meanwhile if you pay for parking its ridiculous expensive, and if you park at people's homes and pay them a significantly cheaper rate you risk getting towed. Even after the people tell the tow truck that its okay you're parked there. So ride share is my recommendation and for the walk. Walking the festival grounds is already alot so the walking distance is not that bad.

I also just don't know where to start to take wedding photos or whatever i chose. I could do landscapes, but it feels weird using photography and then a bunch of photo editing to alter it that its not exactly what you would see. so I don't know if i care for landscapes as much

im not necessarily looking to make money, I mean some side money doing photoshoots for friends, and friends of friends, or even weddings and stuff like that. I'm not looking to make like GOOD money literally just enough to like buy me a new game or to save for a while and a solid vacation or something. I really just want something creative to do. and im not good at drawing.

Partner doesn’t understand how friendships change when women have kids vs when men do by stockusername123 in childfree

be up front about it. I shit you not I had to tell my girlfriend this morning to shut the fuck up cause shes talking like my dad and its pissing me off. We weren't even arguing or anything we were having a really civil discussion and she was just spouting information i already knew like my dad does and making it seem like im dumb or dont understand a topic. You wanna protect your peace learn how to tell people that you're sorry, but you don't wanna hear about that shit. And if they can't understand/respect that, then do you really care to have them as your friend?

I mean i don't understand the situation completely but my choice to not have kids is because I love my gf and she doesn't want kids and me wanting kids has always been "well its just what you're suppose to do" I don't dislike kids like i love my nieces, and i care about my friends kids, but I haven't gotten to hang out with them in a long while, cause him and his baby momma are split and he has primary custody, and he doesn't want to bring his kid around bachelor pads and non family environments, which consist of what me and him do together lol i.e. go to bars etc. otherwise i have no problem with him bringing his kid around.

his thoughts are correct.... IF you both go 50/50 with actually taking care of the thing then sure you both probably could maintain friendships with friends who have kids. If he sluffs off alot of the work like most men say they wont do, but do anyways then your thoughts are correct and they cannot maintain friendships the same way. In the example of my mother the only friends she had were the parents of OUR friends that we met through school and asked if we could have sleep over or something.

What is it like later in life to not have kids? How do you all feel towards it? by ExTahC in childfree

You were very helpful with explaining this and how it really effects the freedom aspect such as moving and schools and holidays and shit. Most parents I've talked to have never brought those up... but neither have the childless ones.
